 Olympic Classes - Delta Lloyd Regatta - Medemblik NED - Final results The 2017 Delta Lloyd Regatta on the Ijsselmeer was concluded yesterday with the Medal Races of the 49er,s 49ersFX, Lasers Radial and RS:X windsurfers again in perfect sailing conditions and summery temperatures.
The Skiffs sailed three Medal Races and the winners in the 49ers are Tim Fischer/Fabian Graf GER who defended their first place ahead of Jorge Lima/José-Luis Costa POR 2nd and Eric Heil/Thomas Plössel GER moving up on 3rd. No change on top of the 49ersFX: Enia Nincevic/Peiar Cupac CRO won ahead of Annemiek Bekkering/Jeske Kisters NED and John Pink/Sophie Ainsworth GBR. The new Final races format in the wiindsurfer (here the report) has been disasterous for the leader during the whole week Kiran Badloe NED, who was relegated on the final rank 6. Dorian Van Rijsselberghe NED is the overall winner ahead of Oël Pouliquen FRA and Matteo Evangelisti ITA.

 Olympic Classes - Delta Lloyd Regatta - Medemblik NED - Day 4 Yesterday, the last Qualification Series races and for the Lasers Standard (see separate news) and 470s, the Medal Races, were held.
Pawel Sozykin/Denis Gribanov RUS had a considerable advantage before the final race in the 470 and added another race win to clearly take the overall victory. Afrodite Zegers/Anneloes Van Veen NED and Matteo Capurro/Matteo Puppo ITA completed the podium. In the 49ers, Tim Fischer/Fabien Graf GER have a solid 7 points lead on Jorge Lima/Jose-Luis Costa POR before today's Medal Race. In the crucial final race of the 49ersFX, a duel between Enia Nincevic/Peiar Cupac CRO and Annemiek Bekkering/Jeske Kisters NED will be on. In the RS:X men windsurfers, Kiran Badloe NED is the clear winner of the Qualification Series. Today, the Final Race of the 12 best is on the program.

Laser - Delta Lloyd Regatta - Medemblik NED - Day 4 - Buckingham USA 2nd

 Laser - Delta Lloyd Regatta - Medemblik NED - Day 4 - Buckingham USA 2nd The Lasers Standard were the first to conclude the Delta Lloyd Regatta yesterday evening with the Medal Race. Finishing 6th was good enough for Elliot Hanson GBR to defend his first place ahead of Charlie Buckingham USA who moved up on rank 2 overall after the final race, while the winner of the Medal Race Matthew Wearn AUS completed the podium. Max Gallant CAN finished 41st. The news with video.
The Lasers Radial will sail their Medal Race today. Manami Doi JPN is the clear leader 18 points ahead of Marit Bouwmeester NED who advanced on rank 2 with two bullets. Silvia Zennaro ITA 3 points behind in new on 3rd. Sarah Douglas CAN is 29th.

 Olympic Classes - Delta lloyd Regatta 2017 - Medemblik NED - Day 3 with NorAms All classes sailed the full program in light winds and summery temperatures yesterday. Many position changes occurred. With a race win, Pawel Sozykin/Denis Gribanov RUS reclaimed rank 1 in the 470s 2 points ahead of Afrodite Zegers/Anneloes Van Veen NED. Another 2 points back are Nikolaus Kampelmühler/Thomas Czajka AUT excellently underway in their first 470 season. In the 49ers, Tim Fischer/Fabian Graf GER advanced again on rank 1 after a perfect day (1/1/3). Jorge Lima/Jose-Luis Costa POR are 2nd one point behind. In the 49erFX, Enia Nincevic/Peiar Cupac CRO defended their lead in front of Annemiek Bekkering/Jeske Kisters NED and Hannah Mills/Alan Sign GBR new on the ranks 2 and 3. Stephanie Roble/Maggie Shea USA are 8th among the 26 starters. Kiran Badloe NED has moved up on rank 1 with two bullets yesterday in the RS:X man windsurfers with a 20 (!) points gap on the Olympic Champion Dorian Van Rijsselberghe NED. Laser - Delta Lloyd Regatta - Medemblik NED - Day 3

 Laser - Delta Lloyd Regatta - Medemblik NED - Day 3 Light winds prevailed yesterday making the day for the leading Matthew Wearn difficult. With a 25th race rank and a premature start disqualification, he dived on rank 11 overall. Fight for the Medal Race cut will be the theme of the day for him during the three races planned. Elliot Hanson GBR is now the sole leader but the gaps between the athletes are minimal. Tonci Stipanovic CRO on rank 2 is one point behind. Pavlos Kontides CYP is is back on 3rd thanks to the discarded result. Charlie Buckingham USA is 5th, 8 points behind the podium, and Max Gallant CAN 38th.
As best of the day, rank 5 and 1, Manami Doi JPN has taken the lead in the Lasers Radial at equal points with Tatjana Droszdowskaja BLR. Emma Plaesschart BEL 4 points back is now 3rd. The Olympic Champion Marit Bouwmeester NED on rank 9 has to fight for a Medal Race seat in today's last qualification races in her first international event since the Rio Games. Sarah Douglas CAN is 30th.
The Lasers will sail their Medal Races this evening already, to be followed on GPS tracking live.

 Olympic Classes - Delta Lloyd Regatta - Medemblik NED - Day 2 with North Americans After some start postponements, racing started yesterday afternoon in light and shifty winds allowing to complete the planned program.
In the joint men/women 470 rankings, the new leaders are now Afrodite Zegers/Anneloes Van Veen NED one point ahead of the day's best (2/3) Nikolaus Kampelmühler/Thomas Czajka AUT on rank 2. Pavel Sozykin/Denis Gribanov RUS descended on rank 3. In the 49ers, Jorge Lima/Jose-Luis Costa POR have taken the lead, and with two race wins, Yannick Lefebre/Tom Pelsmaekers BEL moved up on the 2nd place. The Olympia medalists Erik Heil/Thomas Plössel GER follow on the 3rd position. In the 49erFX, Enia Nincevic/Peiar Cupac CRO extended their lead slightly. John Pink/Sophie Ainsworth GBR remain on the 2nd place. Kate Shaner/Caroline Attwood USA are 15th among the 26 starters. Dorijan Van Rjsselberghe NED and 2 points back Kirian Badloe NED are on the ranks 1 and 2 in the RS:X men windsurfers. Jimmy Lebron CAN is 26th. Please find the Laser news in the next news text. Laser - Delta Lloyd Regatta - Medemblik NED - Day 2, Buckingham USA 4th

 Laser - Delta Lloyd Regatta - Medemblik NED - Day 2, Buckingham USA 4th Races 3 and 4 were sailed yesterday in light and shifty winds.
Pavlos Kontides CYP failed in one race (rank 33) and dropped on the 13th place for the moment. Elliot Hanson GBR and Matthews Wearn AUS lead now jointly at equal points, one point ahead of Luke Elliott AUS 3. With two good races (1/4), Charlie Buckingham USA advanced on the 4th place overall, only 2 points behind the leader.
Emma Plaeschart BEL moved on top of the Lasers Radial one point in front of Tatjana Droszdowskaja BLR. The best of the day Pernelle Michon FRA advanced on the 3rd place. Sarah Douglas CAN however suffered a black-flag disqualification and dropped on the 25th place.

 Olympic Classes - Delta Lloyd Regatta - Medemblik NED - Day 1 Sun and favorable wind conditions around 15 kn prevailed yesterday in Medemblik at the Delta Lloyd Regatta and 2 or 3 races per class were completed.
The 470s are sailing in one fleet. Pavel Sozykin/Denis Gribanov RUS won both heats and lead overall ahead of Matteo Capurro/Matteo Puppo ITA on 2nd and Afrodite Zegers/Anneloes Van Veen NED as best women's team on 3rd. In the 49ers, Tim Fischer/Fabian Graf GER lead ahead of Jorge Lima/José-Luis Costa POR. John Pink/Sophie Ainsworth GBR are on top of the 49ersFX in front of Enia Nincevic/Igor Marenic CRO. The first all-women team are Dewi Couvert/Anette Duetz NED on the 3rd place. The Olympic Champion Dorian Van Rjsselberghe NED dominated the RS:X men windsurfer winning all three heats. The result of the Finns, Nacra17 and RS-X women were not yet available this morning.
