 29er, 420, Laser Radial, Nacra 15, RS:X-Windsurfer - Youth World Championship 2017 - Sanya CHN - Final Day - most successful US Youth Worlds Team The 2017 Youth World Sailing Championship in Sanya, China (December 11-16) concluded on Friday, closing the books on a successful week by the U.S. Youth Worlds Team. American sailors won three medals in nine classes, nearly added a fourth, and finished third in the Nation’s Trophy standings, the highest finish by the United States in many years.

 29er, 420, Laser Radial, Nacra 15, RS:X-Windsurfer - Youth World Championship 2017 - Sanya CHN - Final Day - Two Gold and one Silver Medals for USA ! Finishing 5th in today's final race, Max Wallenberg/Amanda Björk SUI moved on top of the Nacra-15-catamaran rankings winning the Youth World Champion's title. Only two years after his Optimist World Champion's title, Max Wallenberg has reached another peak in his young career. The previously leading Shannon Dalton/Jaden Dalton AUS had to content themselves with rank 2 at equal points. Bronze went to Lucas Caessens/Anne Vandenberghe BEL.
In the 420 Boys, Otto Henry/Rome Featherstone AUS finished on top ahead of Thomas Rice/Trevor Bornarth USA winning Silver. Bronze went to Ido Billik/Noam Homri ISR. In the 420 women, Carmen and Emma Crowles USA clearly earned the title with a 12 points' lead over Violette Dorange/Camille Orion FRA and Arianna Passamonti/Giulia Fava ITA with Silver and Bronze.
In the 29er-Boys, Gold goes to France with Théo Revil/Gautier Guevel FRA. Mathias Berthet/Alexander Franks NOR and Santiago Duncan/Elias Dalli ARG followed on the ranks 2 and 3. In the 29er Girls, Margherita Porro/Sofia Leoni ITA were the premature Champions before the last race today. In a tight battle, Zoya Novikova/Diana Sabirova RUS grasped Silver one point ahead of Jasmin May Galbraith/Chloe Fisher AUS.
Leader change in the last race of the Lasers Radial where Maor Ben Hrosh ISR climbed on top of the Boys rankings. Daniil Krutskikh RUS und Guido Gallinari ITA followed on the ranks 2 and 3. In the Radial Girls, Charlotte Rose USA succeeded to defend rank 1 ahead of the defending Champion Dolores Moreira URU who had to content herself with rank 2 at equal points. Bronze went to Daisy Collingridge GBR.
The decision in the Windsurfers was very close. In the Boys, Yoav Cohen ISR earned the title one point ahead of Hao Chen CHN. Bronze went to Sil Hoekstra NED. In the Girls, Emma Wilson GBR is the Champion with Giorgia Speciale ITA on rank 2 with the same number of points. Ting Yu CHN followed as 3rd.

Laser Radial - Youth World Championship 2017 - Sanya CHN - Final Day - Charlotte Rose USA World Champion

Leader change in the last race of the Lasers Radial where Maor Ben Hrosh ISR climbed on top of the Boys rankings. Daniil Krutskikh RUS und Guido Gallinari ITA followed on the ranks 2 and 3. Joseph Hou USA is 8th, Ryan Anderson CAN 16 and Gerardo Benitez MEX 36th among the 51 nations.
In the Radial Girls, Charlotte Rose USA succeeded to defend rank 1 ahead of the defending Champion Dolores Moreira URU who had to content herself with rank 2 at equal points. Bronze went to Daisy Collingridge GBR. Clara Gravely CAN is 14th, Alejandra Margarita Montemayor 22nd among the 40 nations.
Winner in the Nations' Rankings is Italy ahead of Israel and the USA among the 60 nations.

 29er, 420, Laser Radial, Nacra 15, RS:X-Windsurfer - Youth World Championship 2017 - Sanya CHN - Day 4, Cowles-Cowles USA clearly on top Today's racing is fully on at the Youth Worlds in Sanya CHN this morning UTC.
The 420 Girls have already completed their program and Carmen and Emma Cowles USA clearly remain on top with two 2nd race ranks and the advantage up on 12 points in front of Violette Dorange/Camille Orion FRA.
In the 29er Girls, the lead of Margherita Porro/Sofia Leoni ITA is now 29 points ahead of Maiwenn Jacquin/Enora Percheron FRA new on rank 2.
In the Nacra 15, Max Wallenberg/Amanda Björk SUI had a clear lead but an 11th place this morning relegated them on 2nd with a 3 points' deficit on Shannon and Jayden Dalton AUS. Nevertheless, the fight for the title remains open.
All other classes will sail during the coming hours and the results will be updated by noon UTC.

 29er, 420, Laser Radial, Nacra 15, RS:X-Windurfer - Youth World Championship 2017 - Sanya CHN - Day 3, US Team with top results Racing of day three of the Youth Sailing World Championship on the Chinese Holiday Island Sanya is on this morning UTC with the Boys starting the Wednesday program.
In the 420s, the two races have been completed with Otto Henry/Rome Featherstone USA remaining on top inspite of a mediocre 15th place. Ido Bilik/Noam Omri ISR reduced the gap on rank 1 to 4 points thanks to a race win.
The 29ers finished two races up to now. With the ranks 1 and 7, Rok Verderber/Klemen Semelbauer SLO are the new leaders ahead of Ville Korhonen/Robin Berner FIN 6 points back.
The Laser-Radial-Boys finished their first race of the day and with a 4th race rank, Daniil Krutskikh RUS has taken the overall lead, replacing Guido Gallinaro ITA who is now 2nd with a 5 points' backlog. The Radial Girls have sailed their first heat as well. Charlotte Rose USA defended her first place but the defending Champion Dolores Moreira URU reduced her backlog to one point thanks to winning the race. Luciana Cardozo ARG on the 3rd place is already 18 points behind.
In the RS:X Boys windsurfers, Yoav Cohen is up on top with a race win. Hao Chen CHN follows at equal points on rank 2. In the RS:X Girls, Giorgia Speciale ITA stays on top 3 points ahead of Emma Wilson GBR.
The 420 and 29ers Girls will sail their races in the afternoon. Carmen and Emma Cowles USA lead in the 420s after 4 races. In the 29er Girls, Margherita Porro/Sofia Leoni ITA are first.
In the Nacra 15, Lucas Claeyssens/Anne Vandenberghe BEL are 4 points ahead of Shannon Dalton/Jayden Dalton AUS. Max Wallenberg/Amanda Björk SUI on 3rd are another point back.

 29er, 420, Laser Radial, Nacra 15, RS:X-Windsurfer - World Sailing Youth World Championship 2017 - Sanya CHN, excellent start of US teams This morning UTC, the Youth Sailing World Championship 2017 began on the Chinese Holiday Island Sanya with 367 participants from 60 nations ! Here already the first results.
With the ranks 1 and 2, Ido Bilik/Noam Homri ISR had an ideal start in the 420 Boys, leading ahead of Otto Henry/Roam Featherstone AUS and Thomas Rice/Trevor Bornarth USA on the ranks 2 and 3.
The 29er-Boys completed already 3 heats and Mathias Berthet/Alexander Franks NOR are on top ahead of Kasper Nordenram/Linus Berglund SWE. Théo Revil/Gautier Guevel FRA follow as 3rd.
The Nacra 15 had one race at Press deadline this morning UTC with Lucas Claeyssens/Anne Vandenberghe BEL as winners ahead of Max Wallenberg/Amanda Björk SUI.
