Laser Standard & Radial - U21 World Championship 2018 - Gdynia POL - Final results

 Laser Standard & Radial - U21 World Championship 2018 - Gdynia POL - Final results Two more races were sailed on the final day of the U21 World Championship in Poland. In the Laser Standard Philipp Loewe GER grabbed the title with a convincing advance of 34 points ahead of Max Wilken GER, Liam Glynn IRL follows in third. Ford McCann USA finished the Championship in 12th overall.
In the Laser Radial the victory went to Anna Munch DEN. The silver medal goes to Italy's Carolina Albano ITA and Elyse Ainsworth AUS won the Australian duel for Bronze. Christina Sakellaris USA is 11th overall

 Laser Standard & Radial - U21 World Championship 2018 - Gdynia POL - Day 5 In a good seabreeze again, two further races were sailed yesterday. There was a change of leadership in both fleets yesterday: In the women’s Laser Radial, Anna Munch DEN got her lead back with a daily 1st and a 2nd. She will fight for the title in today's final two races with Carolina Albano ITA who is just 2 points behind.
There will be an Australian duel for the bronze medal: Zoe Thomson AUS is the third, 19 points behind, but just one point ahead of Elyse Ainsworth AUS. Christina Sakelleris USA, who had ranks 1 and 2 yesterday advanced to 6th overall. In the Laser Standard ranking Liam Glenn IRL took the lead with the daily ranks 1 and 3, while Philipp Loewe GER is only 2 points back. Jakup Rodziewicz POL is still in third, 16 points behind.  Laser Standard & Radial - U21 World Championship 2018 - Gdynia POL - Day 4 The final races in the Gold and Silverfleets began yesterday with two races. In in the Laser Standard the daily best, Cailin Winchcombe AUS (1/2) moved up to fourth place overall. Despite his moderate results (8/23), Philipp Loewe GER defended his lead ahead of Liam Glynn IRL in second-place who is 14 points behind. In third place is Jakub Rodziewicz POL. With a daily first and a 7th Henry Marshall USA advanced to 6th overall. Ford McCann USA had a 26th and a 17th yesterday and dropped back to 14th overall.
In the Laser Radial Women, Zoe Thomson AUS and Carolina Albano ITA are tied at the top, while Anna Munch DEN remains in third place, just 2 points behind in the leaders. Elyse Ainsworth AUS in fourth is also only 5 points behind in 1st place. With a daily 14th and a 3rd Christina Sakellaris USA remains 10th overall.  Laser Standard & Radial - U21 World Championship 2018 - Gdynia POL - Day 3 With another two races, sailed in winds of 15 knots, the U21 World Championship of the Olympic Laser classes continued yesterday on the Baltic Sea. The men in the Laser Standard completed their qualifications for Gold- and Silverfleet. Philipp Loewe GER is leading, Jakup Rodciewicz POL advanced to second, 13 points behind. Liam Glyinn IRL follows closely behind on rank 3. Ford McCann USA is 11th overall.
In the Laser Radial, Anna Munch advanced DEN to the top, followed by the Australians Zoe Thompson, Elyse Ainsworth and Mara Stransky on ranks 2-4. Christina Skellaris USA follows on rank 15.

 Laser Standard & Radial - U21 World Championship 2018 - Gdynia POL - Day 2 After the first races sailed in about 12 knots on the starting day, there were obviously different wind conditions in Gdynia yesterday. The rankings were whirled up in any case. Philipp Loewe GER has taken the lead in the Laser Standard with a daily 1 st and a 2 nd. Jonatan Vadnai HUN advanced to second overall with 6 points behind, Max Wilken GER follows in third place. Chusitt Punjamala THA, is now in fifth place behind Jakub Rodziewicz POL. Ford McCann USA is currently 8 th overall.
Among the Laser Radial Women, the lead remains in Australian hands: Zoe Thompson AUS with a daily 1 st and 2 nd replaced Mara Stransky AUS, who won both races of the fist day. She fell back to 6th place. Anna Munch DEN is now second overall, Carolina Albano ITA remains in third. The best US sailor is Christina Sakellaris, she is currently ranked 10 th overall. Laser Radial & Standard - U21 World Championship 2018 - Gdynia POL - Day 1

 Laser Radial & Standard - U21 World Championship 2018 - Gdynia POL - Day 1 Yesterday the U21 World Championships in the Olympic Laser classes started on the Polish Baltic Sea coast. Two races were sailed in both classes. Mara Stransky AUS won both races of the Laser Radials and is already 7 points ahead of Carolina Albano ITA. Third is Caroline Rosmo NOR. Christina Sakellaris USA, as the best American, is currently 6th in the fleet of 71 participants.
Tied in first place are Berkay Abay TUR, Daniel Whitelay GBR and Ethan McAullay AUS in the large Laser Standard fleet, which is split in 2 groups. In fourth place, 2 points behind the leaders is Philipp Loewe GER on rank 4. In fifth, 3 points behind is Ford McCann USA, Marshall McCann USA, who had a daily first in the first race is currently 15th overall among the 132 participants.  Laser Radial & Standard - U21 World Championship 2018 - Gdynia POL The first races of the Laser Standard & Radial U21 World Championship 2018 in Poland are scheduled for today. In the mens fleet of the Laser Standard 140 participants from 41 nations and 5 continents are on the starting line. Among them 5 Canadians and 4 US-Lasers.
