OK-Dinghy - Wolrd Championship 2018 - Warnemünde GER - Final results

 OK-Dinghy - Wolrd Championship 2018 - Warnemünde GER - Final results There was an exciting final on yesterday's final day of the OK-dinghy World Championships in Warnemünde. The top three were just one point apart after the first race of the day. Although Jan Kurfeld GER won the final race, he was disqualified because of his early start and had to settle for 3rd place. André Budzien GER inherited the race win and was able to overtake the threefold Olympic medal winner Fredy Lööf SWE. The two have exactly the same ranks in the 8 races sailed, but the victory in the final race decided in favor of Budzien GER, who is already a two times OK World Champion. A-Cat - European Championship 2018 - Warnemünde GER - Final results

 A-Cat - European Championship 2018 - Warnemünde GER - Final results On the final day of the A-Cat World Championships in Warnemünde the wind was missing for further races. Difficult wind conditions allowed just five races in six days. Superior winner was the 8-time A-Cat World Champion Glen Ashby AUS. The second placed Manuel Calavia ESP won the European title. In 3rd place follows Maciej Zarnowski POL. Excellent 4th and thus EM bronze medal winner was Sandro Caviezel SUI. There were 86 participants competing in this Championship. OK-Dinghy - World Championship 2018 - Warnemünde GER - Day 5

With two further races, the qualification for the Gold- and Silverfleet was completed yesterday at the OK-Dinghy World Championships in Warnemünde. Favourite Fredy Lööf SWE took the lead with a daily first and a second. Tied in second overall, two points behind are André Budzien GER and Jan Kurfeld GER. A-Cat, OK-Dinghy - Warnemünde Week - Warnemünde GER - Day 6 - No Wind, no Racing

 A-Cat, OK-Dinghy - Warnemünde Week - Warnemünde GER - Day 6 - No Wind, no Racing Grey weather and light winds made it impossible to race on the fourth day of the A-Cat European Championship and the OK-Dinghy World Championships. In the A-Cat Glen Ashby AUS leads after 5 races, 10 points ahead of Manuel Calavia ESP. In the World Championships of the OK Dinghies Jan Kurfeld GER and Andre Budzien GER are joint leaders.  A-Cat, OK-Jolle, var. classes - Warnemünde Week - Warnemünde GER - Day 4 In grey weather and rain, the Warnemünde Week continued yesterday with moderate winds around the 10 knots. In the OK Dinghy Worlds Jan Kurfeld GER and André Budzien GER share the lead, favorite Fredy Lööf SWE moved up to third just one point behind. In the European Championships of the A-Cats two races were sailed. Eight times World Champion Glen Ashby AUS increased his lead to 10 points with the daily ranks 1 and 2. Manuel Calavia ESP follows on rank 2, Maciej Zarnowski POL is 3rd. Thanks to a daily 3rd Sandro Caviezel SUI moved up to rank 4 of the 87 participants - here the A-Cat video. OK-Jolle, A-Cat, Musto-Skiff, div. classes - Warnemünde Week - Warnemünde GER - Day 3

 OK-Jolle, A-Cat, Musto-Skiff, div. classes - Warnemünde Week - Warnemünde GER - Day 3 After stormy days, there were finally good conditions yesterday to sail the full day program. At the World Championships of the OK Dinghies the fleet, which is split into two groups completed two races each. Jan Kurfeld GER and André Budzien GER lead the fleets with the daily ranks 1 and 2 respectively. Joint third are Lars-Johan Brodtkorb NOR and Fredy Lööf SWE.
On the first day of the A-Cat-European Championship 3 races were completed. Sovereign leader is America's Cup winner Glen Ashby AUS. He won all three races on his return to the class. Macijei Zarnowski POL and Mischa Heemskerk NED are the first pursuers. The Ranking.
The Musto-Skiffs finished their German championship yesterday. The title goes to Paul Dijkstra NED.

OK-Dinghy, Musto-Skiff - Warnemünder Week - Warnemünde GER - Day 2

 OK-Dinghy, Musto-Skiff - Warnemünder Week - Warnemünde GER - Day 2 strong winds above 30kn made it immpossible to sail on saturday, but yesterday the conditions were perfect with winds between 15 and 18 knots. The OK Dinghies and the Musto-Skiffs were the first classes to beginn their Championships. For the OK Dinghies it was the last possibilty to practice before their worlds starting on tuesday. 3 races have been sailed. André Budzien GER won to of them and finished first overall, ahead of Lars-Johan Brodtkorb NOR and Luke Gower NZL. 61 boats were on the starting line - the full results.
For the Musto-Skiffs the series counts as German Open, six races were sailed on one single day. First leader is Paul Dijkstra NED, 6 points back Jelmer Kuipers NED is on 2nd, Iver Ahlmann GER follows on third.

 Various classes - Warnemünde Week - Warnemünde GER - Day 1 The 81st Warnemünde Week should have started yesterday with the first races of the pre-Worlds of the OK-dinghies. Strong winds over 30 knots prevented however the first races. Today the weather forecast foresees story conditions again. Scheduled among others is the practice race of the A-Cat European Championships and the first regattas of the Laser European Cup. The Daily Report and all Entry Lists.
