 420 - World Championship 2018 - Newport RI, USA - Final results The 420 Worlds in Newport RI were concluded yesterday with another 3 races.
Outstanding winners of the Open (Boys) rankings are Seb Menzies/Blake McGlashan NZL, earning the title with an 48 points (!) advantage on Elias Aretz/Pablo Garcia ESP. Martin Wizner/Pedro Ameneiro ESP are 3rd one point back.
In the Girls rankings, Maria Caba/Pilar Caba ESP finished 1/2/4 on the last day and reclaimed rank 1 up from rank 5. One point behind followed Patricia Reino/Isabel Laiseca ESP on rank 2, and Bronze went to Spain as well with Maria Bover/Catalina Homar ESP.
In the U17-rankings, Jacopo Garcia/Antoni Ripoll ESP defended their lead by a small margin taking the title 2 points ahead of Marina Garau/Blanca Cabot ESP. Odysseas Spanakis/Konstantinos Mixalopoulos GRE earned Bronzee.

 420 - World Championship 2018 - Newport RI, USA - Day 5,  3rd Michelle Lahrkamp/Gabriella Del Bello USA in Girls Yesterday, the Final Series of the 420 Worlds started with three races for the Gold- and Silverfleets again in moderate conditions.
In the Girls, Clara Olive/Solenza Mariani FRA had a disaster day (bfd/dsq/2) and dropped on rank 7. Patricia Reino/Isabel Laiseca ESP are now in the lead with a 15 points' advantage on Maria Bover/Catarina Homar ESP. New on rank 3 are Michelle Lahrkamp/Gabriella Del Bello USA.
In the Open (Boys) rankings, Seb Menzies/Blake McGlashan NZL won 2 of the 3 races and extended their lead on 28 points on Martin Wizner/Pedro Ameneiro ESP. On rank 3 follow Dylan Ascencios/William George USA.
In the U17 rankings, Marina Garau/Blanca Cabot ESP are first 2 points ahead of Jacopo Garcia/Antoni Ripoll ESP. Odysseas Spanakis/Konstantinos Mixalopoulos GRE are new on rank 3.

 420 - World Championship 2018 - Newport RI, USA - Day 4 All three fleets completed two races each in an 8kn wind and still persisting rain.
Clara Olive/Solenza Mariani FRA moved on top of the Girls' fleet with two race wins. At equal points on rank 2 follow Patricia Reino/Isabel Laiseca ESP. The 3rd-ranked Laura Akrich/Carla Llabres ESP are already 20 points behind.
In the Open (Boys) rankings, Seb Menzies/Blake McGlashan NZL, best of the day (1/5), extended their lead on Martín Wizner Perez-Lafuente/Pedro Ramón Ameneiro Amezage ESP on 9 points. Otto Henry/Thomas Larkings AUS kept rank 3.
In the U17 rankings, Jacopo Garcia/Antoni Ripoll ESP are now first after discarding the worst results. One point behind are Melina Pappa/Maria Tsamopoulos GRE, and new on rank 3 follow Oscar Pouschè/Luca Coslovich ITA.

 420 - World Championship 2018 - Newport RI, USA - Day 3 Two races were sailed yesterday at the 420 Worlds in Newport RI in light and variable. winds.
In the Girls' rankings, Patrica Reino/Isabel Laiseca ESP have taken the lead ahead of Clara Olive/Solenza Mariani FRA 5 points behind. New on rank 3 are Laura Akrich/Clara Llabres ESP.
In the Open (Boys) rankings, Seb Menzies/Blake McGlashan NZL moved on top with the day ranks 1 and 3 followed by Luis-Miguel Hernandez/Ignacio Balaguer ESP 3 points back. Alessandro and Filippo Caldari ITA remain on 3rd.
In the U17 rankings, Jacopo Garcia/Antoni Ripell ESP are new on top 2 points ahead of Melina Pappa/Maria Tsamopoulos GRE and Marina Garau/Bianca Cabot ESP tied on rank 2.

 420 - World Championship 2018 - Newport RI, USA - Day 2 Rain killed the seabreeze on the second day of the 420 Worlds in Newport RI and racing was cancelled for the day. Leaders after the two races of the opening day are Clara Olive/Solenza Mariani FRA in he Girls, Alessandro Caldari/Frederico Caldari ITA in the Open (Boys), and Marina Carau/Bianca Cabot ESP in the U17.

 420 - World Championship 2018 - Newport RI, USA - Day 1 The 420 World Championship 2018 was kicked off yesterday in Newport RI in the USA with two races sailed in a 10-13kn wind by the fleet split in three groups. Best of the Girls were Clara Olive/Solenza Mariani FRA with the ranks 2 and 3. Patricia Reino/Isabel Laiseca ESP and Lilot Ruat/Alice Chiappori FRA followed on the ranks 2 and 3. 52 teams participating.
In the Boys (Open) rankings, Alessandro Caldari/Federico Caldari ITA lead 2 points ahead of Luis Miguel Hernandez/Ignacio Balaguer ESP. On rank 3 follow Seb Menzies/Blake McGlashan NZL. 71 teams participating.
In the U17 rankings, two Spanish teams - Marina Garau/Blanca Cabot ESP and Jacopo Garcia/Antoni Ripoll ESP - are on top. Oliver Hurwitz/Ethan Froelich USA follow as 3rd. 42 teams participating.

Best of the Girls were Clara Olive/Solenza Mariani FRA with the ranks 2 and 3. Patricia Reino/Isabel Laiseca ESP and Lilot Ruat/Alice Chiappori FRA followed on the ranks 2 and 3.Solène Mariani/Maude Schmid SUI are on the 23rd place among the 52 teams.
In the Boys (Open) rankings, Alessandro Caldari/Federico Caldari ITA lead 2 points ahead of Luis Miguel Hernandez/Ignacio Balaguer ESP. On rank 3 follow Seb Menzies/Blake McGlashan NZL. Florian Geissbühler/Livio Erni SUI are on rank 24 among the 71 teams.
