Laser Radial - Youth World Championship 2019 - Kingston CAN - Final results, Matilda Nicholls GBR and Yigit Citak TUR World Champions

 Laser Radial - Youth World Championship 2019 - Kingston CAN - Final results, Matilda Nicholls GBR and Yigit Citak TUR World Champions The Laser Radial Youth World Championship in Kingston CAN was concluded yesterday with two races. ----- Matilda Nicholls GBR defended her first place. New on rank 2 was Paige Caldecoat AUS finishing twice on first. Eve McMahon IRL earned the Bronze Medal. ----- Best among the 12 USA and 8 CAN Girls were Hunter Dejean CAN on the 9th place and Grace Austin USA on rank 12. ----- In the Boys, Yigit Citak TUR replaced Emilios Monos GRE on rank one, his second title within a month after winning the Youth World Sailing Championship in Gdaniy POL. And twice, he moved on top in the last race of the competition ! With two bullets, Michael Compton AUS advanced on rank 3, winning the U17 classifications. ----- Thanks to a 2nd race rank, Asher Zittrer USA moved up on rank 17, Dale Whitmore CAN finished as 22nd. Big North American delegations participated with 7 USA and 4 CAN Boys qualified for the Goldfleet. ----- The ranking lists and the event website.

 Laser Radial - World Championship 2019 - Sakaiminato JPN - Final results - Gold for Anne-Marie Rindom DEN, Charlotte Rose (Houston YC) best North American on 9th Yesterday, Anne-Marie Rindom DEN concluded the Laser Radial World Championship with two solid races, winning her second Worlds title after 2015. The podium was completed by the experienced Marit Bouwmeester NED, Olympic Champion, and Alison Young GBR best mastering the mostly windy and challenging conditions. Emma Plaesschart BEL and Marie Barrué FRA are tied on the ranks 4 and 5. The 2017/8 Youth Sailing World Champion Charlotte Rose. Jacksonville Univ. on 9th was the best North American. Paige Railey USA followed on 12th. Sarah Douglas CAN moved up on rank 31 with top results (ranks 1 and 4) on the last day. ----- The Radial Women ranking list. ----- In the Men, Simon De Gendt BEL finished on top ahead of Zac West AUS and Guilherme Perez BRA. ----- The Radial Men ranking list. ----- All results and the event facebook page with photos and videos.

 Laser Radial - World Championship 2019 - Sakaiminato JPN - Day 5, Anne-Marie Rindom DEN extends overall lead, best North American Charlotte Rose USA Anne-Marie Rindom DEN, best of the day, has taken the overall lead in the Laser Radial Women 2 points ahead of Ecem Güzel TUR. Tuula Tenkanen FIN remains on rank 3. Charlotte Rose USA is 6th, Paige Railey USA 10th, Sarah Douglas CAN 48th. Two more races are on the program today and with the second discard applied, important changes will without doubt occur in the updated ranking list posted by noon. ----- In the Radial Men, Simon de Gendt BEL is new on top thanks to the second discard. Zac West AUS and Guilherme Perez BRA follow on the ranks 2 and 3. ----- Fresh winds between 16 and 20kn prevailed yesterday. ----- All ranking lists and the daily news.

 Laser Radial - World Championship 2019 - Sakaiminato JPN - Day 4, new leading trio, the USA women Rose and Railey on 6th and 7th The first day of the Final Series sailed in Gold- and Silverfleets in a 12-15kn wind yesterday was a distaster for the clearly leading Josefin Olsson SWE as with a disqualification and an abandoned race, she dropped on rank 8 in the Radial Women, away from the title contenders until a second discard will be granted after 8 races. New on top is now Ecem Güzel TUR 6 points ahead of Tuula Tenkanen FIN. On rank 3 follows Marit Bouwmeester NED. ----- The North Americans did not have their best day, but nevertheless, Charlotte Rose USA on 6th and Paige Railey USA on 7th remain in the top-10. Sarah Douglas CAN however is on the disappointing 47th place, one rank ahead of Clara Gravely CAN, new in the international scene. ----- In the Radial Men, Zac West AUS remains on top ahead of Simon de Gendt BEL, but winning 5 of the 8 races sailed so far, he will climb on top as soon as the second discard comes into effect. On rank 3 follows Louis Mark AUS.. ----- The ranking lists and the daily news. ----- Racing of today is underway and can be followed live over GPS tracking.

 Laser Radial - World Championship 2019 - Sakaiminato JPN - Day 3, Qualification phase concluded, Paige Railey USA 2nd Josefin Olsson SWE is the only one with nothing but top-5 rankings in the Women Laser Radial at the conclusion of the Qualification phase. Paige Railey USA and Marit Bouwmeester NED follow on the ranks 2 and 3. The best Canadian is Clara Gravely on rank 44. The World Ranking number 2 Sarah Douglas CAN on 56th just made the Goldfleet cut. ----- In the Radial Men, Zac West AUS is clearly leading ahead of Simon de Gendt BEL and Guilherme Perez BRA. ----- Two races were completed yesterday inspite of very difficult wind conditions. -----Racing is underway this morning UTC and can be followed live over GPS tracking. The updated ranking lists will be available by noon UTC.

 Laser Radial - World Championship - Sakaiminato JPN - Day 2, USA Railey and Rose on 4th and 8th in Radial women after 2 races Lull conditions impeded racing at the Laser Radial Worlds in Japan, and the women completed only one, the men two races. ----- Josefin Olsson SWE, winner of the first race, finished 2nd in the Radial Women yesterday and leads now overall ahead of Marie Boulou FRA (3/1) and Line Flem-Höst DEN. ----- Two USA women in the top-10: Paige Railey is on 4th, Charlotte Rose on 8th. Sarah Douglas CAN is 19th. ----- Day winners in the Radial Men races were Zac West AUS and Nobuyasu Sugita JPN, leading in the overall rankings. ----- The ranking lists and the daily news.

 Laser Radial - World Championship 2019 - Sakaiminato JPN - Day 1, Paige Railey USA in top-10 Late in the afternoon, the first races were started at the Laser Radial World Championship in Japan. ----- On top of the Radial women fleet, split in two, were Anne-Marie Rindom DEN and Josefin Olsson SWE as first in their groups. Marie Barrué FRA and Monika Mikkola FIN followed as 2nd. Paige Railey USA is 6th, Sarah Douglas CAN 23rd. ---- In the Radial men, Guilherme Perez BRA leads after two races ahead of Zac West AUS and Jan Heuninck BEL. No North Amercan entrants. ----- Racing is already underway this morning UTC, results being updated continuously. ----- All results and the daily news.
