420 & 470 - Junior European Championship 2019 - Vilagarcia de Arouso ESP - Final results, both 470 titles for Germany, 420 for Spain and U17 for France

 420 & 470 - Junior European Championship 2019 - Vilagarcia de Arouso ESP - Final results, both 470 titles for Germany, 420 for Spain and U17 for France Theres Dahnke/Birte Winkel GER finished first in the 470 Women Medal Race, their 10th bullet in 12 races, clearly winning the Youth European Champions title. Luise and Helena Wanser GER earned Silver, Charlotte Yven/Julia Colombe FRA remained with Bronze. Catherine Lindsay/Alexandra Tillinghast USA (San Diego YC/American YC) terminated the Youth Championship on rank 10. ----- The title in the 470 Men/Mixed went to Lucas Schlüter/Frederick Eichorst GER ahead of Nikolaos Brilakis/Nikolaos Georgapoulos GRE and Andrea Totis/Alice Linussi ITA. No North Americans. ----- In the 420s, the victory of Conrad Konitzer/Fernando Rodriguez ESP was confirmed before the sole race of the day and the team could remain ashore. Jacobo Garcia/Antini Ripoll ESP grasped Silver. Winning the final race, Zofia Korsak/Karolina Cendrowska POL moved up on rank 3 and won the title as best Girls team. Oliver Hurwitz/Ethan Froelich USA (American YC/Austin YC) are on rank 12 as best of four USA teams. ----- The U17-fleet did not race: Ange Delerce/Thimotée Rossi FRA remained therefore on top ahead of Antonio Martino/Juan Catala ESP and Oscar Pousche/Luca Coslovich ITA. 420 & 470 - Junior European Championship 2019 - Vilagarcia de Arouso ESP - Day 5, 470 Men and 420 U17 much disputed in todays finals

Conrad Konitzer/Fernando Rodriguez ESP extended their lead in the 420 Open in the two races of yesterday on 34 points and will no doubt celebrate the European Junior Champions title after the final races today. Wizner/Almeneiro ESP and Garcia/Ripoll ESP are the first persuers. Oliver Hurwitz/Ethan Froelich USA (American YC/Austin YC) are on rank 10. - ----- The final outcome in the 420 U17 is fully open. The leaders Ange Delerce/Thimotée Rossi FRA are only 3 points ahead of Martino/Catala ESP. Vanessa Lahrkamp/Katherine McNamara USA (American YC) are 3 ranks up on 6th only 10 points behind the podium. ----- In the 470 Open/Mixed, Lucas Schlüter/Frederick Eichhorst GER have taken the lead 2 points ahead of Nikolaos Brilakis/Nikolaos Georgapoulos GRE. Thomas André/Corentin Bretagne FRA are new on rank 3. No North American participants. ----- With another two bullets, Theres Dahnke/Birte Winkel GER are on a safe way for the 470 Women title. Luise and Helena Wanser GER on 2nd are already 11 points behind. Charlotte Yven/Julia Colombo FRA stay on the 3rd position.  420 & 470 - Junior European Championship - Vilagarcia de Arousa ESP - Day 4, Hurwitz/Froelich USA up on 9th in the 420s New leaders at the 470 Junior European Championship are Nikolaos Brilakis/Nikolaos Georgakopoulos GRE one point ahead of Lucas Schlüter/Frederick Eichhorst GER. Jerome Demange/Luc Guimbertaud FRA dropped on rank 3, but with a 5 point backlog, they are still candidates for the title. No North American participants. ----- In the 470 Women, Theres Dahnke/Birte Winkel GER extended their lead on Luise and Helena Wanser GER to 7 points. Charlotte Yven/Julia Colombe FRA stay on 3rd. Catherine Lindsay/Alexandra Tillinghast USA (San Diego YC/American YC) remained on 10th. ----- The 420s held their first two Final races and the leading Conrad Konitzer/Fernando Rodriguez ESP finished the day with a 24 point advantage on Aviv Rozen/Tomer Hendel ISR. The 470 Open/Men held the first two Gold- and Silverfleet races with Jerome Demange/Luc Guimbertaud FRA defending rank one. Nikolaos Brilakis/Nikolaos Georgakopoulos GRE joined the French point-wise as best of the day. Lucas Schlüter/Frederick Eichhorst GER follow on rank 3. ----- In the 470 Women, Theres Dahnke/Birte Winkel GER remained on top. The day best (1/2) Luise and Helena Wanser GER are new on rank 2. Charlotte Yven/Julia Colombe FRA descended on the 3rd place. Catherine Lindsay/Alexandra Tillinghast USA (San Diego YC/American YC) remained on 10th. ----- The 420s concluded the qualification phase yesterday. In the Open rankings, Conrad Konitzer/Fernando Rodriguez ESP and Aviv Rozen/Tomer Hendl ISR are on rank one at equal points. 4 points behind follow Kosmalski/Lewandowski POL and Steidle/Honold GER tied on the positions 3 and 4. Oliver Hurwitz/Ethan Froelich USA (American YC/Austin YC), rank 11, are the only USA team qualified for the Goldfleet.  420 & 470 - Junior European Championship - Vilagarcia de Arousa ESP - Day 2, Hurwitz/Froelich USA on 11th remain with the best 420s Superior leaders, winning all races in the 470 women, are Theres Dahnke/Birte Winkel GER ahead of Charlotte Yven/Julia Colombe FRA and Luise and Helena Wanser GER. Catherine Lindsay/Alexandra Tillinghast USA (San Diego YC/American YC) are one up on 10th. ----- The 470 open/men concluded the qualifications to split the fleet in Gold and Silver. With bullets yesterday, Jerôme Demange/Luc Guimbertaud FRA are the clear leaders. Holman/Tressler GBR and Schlüter/Eichhorst GER follow at equal points on the ranks 2 and 3. No USA participants. ----- The situation in the 420s remains close with Conrad Konitzer/ Fernando Rodriguez ESP on top of the open rankings only one point ahead of Aviv Rozen/Tomer Hendel ISR. Patryk Kosmalski/Tomasz Lewandowski POL (ranks 2 and 1 yesterday) moved up on rank 3.
