 Optimist - Vila de Palamos Trophy - Palamos ESP - Final results, no races, too much wind, 17 USA boats in the 565 fleet Again no luck for the over 500 Optimist sailors at the Costa Brava ! After two windless days, a wind over 30kn kept the girls and boys ashore on the final day of the Palamos Trophy. The ranking list of day one with 3 race becomes therefore final. Carl Krause GER and Caspar Ilgenstein GER are on the top positions with Marc Mesquida ESP completing the podium on rank 3. Maayan Shemesh ISR, 7th overall, is the best girl. The two sailors among the 17 USA participants finishing in the top-100 of the huge 565 boat fleet are Fynn Olsen (MYC) on rank 47 and Pierce Olsen (MYC) as 83rd. ----- The ranking list, the news and the video of the final day.

 Optimist - Vila de Palamos Trophy - Palamos ESP - Day 3, no racing yesterday Only one group sailing a race on Friday, and yesterday nothing at all at the Palamos Optimist Trophy. The ranking list of Thursday with three races completed remains therefore unchanged. Carl Krause GER and Caspar Ilgenstein GER are on the top positions. Fynn Olsen (MYC) on rank 47 and Pierce Olsen (MYC) as 83rd are the best USA sailors among 565 participants. ----- Closing day today with the first starts scheduled early in the morning to benefit from the announced up to 20kn breeze. ----- The news and the ranking lists.

 Optimist - Vila de Palamos Trophy - Palamos ESP - Day 2, light winds, reduced program Very light wind conditions in Palamos yesterday and only one of the five groups could complete a race.  Optimist - Vila de Palamos Trophy - Palamos ESP - Day 1, two USA participants in top 100 among the 581 starters Yesterday on day one of the Optimist Vila de Palamos Trophy at the Spanish Costa Brava, Carl Krause GER won all five races of his group taking the overall lead ahead of the tied Caspar Ilgenstein GER and Marc Mesquida ESP. Two of the 17 USA Optimists sailing are among the top-100 in the huge 581 boat fleet: Fynn Olsen (MYC) on rank 47 and Pierce Olsen (MYC) as 83rd. ----- The intitial 15kn breeze increasing to 20kn during the day allowed all five Groups to complete 3 races. ----- The results, the news and the video of the day.
