Last Saturday in Paris, the double Tornado Olympic Champion (1988/1992) Nicolas Hénard was elected as new President of the French Sailing Federation (FFV) replacing Jean-Pierre Champion, resigning after 20 years in office. France has been a leading sail-racing nation for decades, not only in Olympic sailing, including wind- and kite-sailing, but also in offshore racing where France has been a class of her-own since ever.
