 2.4m, Hansa 303  Paralympic World Championship 2017  Kiel GER  Day 1 with USA and CAN teams
The Disabled-Sailing Classes World Championship (on 2.4mIJ and Hansa 303) began yesterday with two races. Since disabled sailing has been eliminated from the Paralympics 2020, World Sailing is making big efforts to promote the sport on all continents to regain homologation.
In the former Paralympic 2.4m Class, Daniel Bina CZE has taken the lead. Heiko Kröger GER and Damien Séguin FRA follow on the ranks 2 and 3. Dee Smith USA (with a UFD early start disqualification) is 30th, Jacky Gay CYN 35th among the 43 boats from 26 nations.
In the Hansa 303 women, Magali Moraines FRA is first, in the Hands 303 men, Christpher Symonds AUS is on top. Edward Leroy USA and his team are 22nd among the 24 starters.
