Olympic Worldcup - Semaine Olympique - Hyères FRA - Day 1

Sun and slackening moderate winds prevailed yesterday in Hyères FRA on the first day of Act 3 of the Olympic Class Worldcup. Depending on the classes, 2 to 3 races were completed, and only the Nacra 17 sailed but one heat, won by the World Champions Ben Saxton/Nicola Boniface GBR. Ruggero Tita/Claudia Banti ITA and Iker Martinez/Olga Maslivets followed on the ranks 2 and 3. In the Finns, Jonathan Lobert FRA has taken the lead ahead of Jorge Zarif BRA and Ioannis Mitakis GRE.
Dahlberg/Bergström SWE are on top of the 470 men in front of Lan/Zhou CHN and Ferrari/Calabro ITA. In the 470 women, Wai/Gao CHN are first by a small margin over Mills/McIntyre GBR and Lecointre/Retornaz FRA.
Ida-Marie Baad/Marie Thusgaard DEN won both races in the 49ersFX, while in the 49ers, Buksak/Wierzbicki POL and Gilmour/Turner AUS share the lead at equal points.
A duo is also in top of the RS:X women windsurfers: Peina Chen CHN nd Noga Geller ISR are on top with the same number of points. In the RS_X men windsurfers, Pierre Le Coq FRA is in the lead after 3 races, followed by Mengfan Gao CHN one point behind.
