 420  World Championship 2019  Vilamoura POR  Day 2, with 14 teams from the USA, three of them top15
Four races have been completed at the 420 World Championship in the South of Portugal in best thermal breeze conditions so far. ----- Finishing four times on top in their group, the 420 Boys defending champions Seb Menzies/Blake McGlashan NZL have taken the lead ahead of their team mates Mason Mulcahy/Andre Van Dam NZL as well as Conrad Konitzer/Fernando Rodriguez ESP. Will Mixyne Bachels/Louis Fontisee USA (North Lake and Biscayne Bay YC) on 13th are the best of the three USA teams among the 89 entrants. ----- In the 420 Girls, Eleanor Kears/Faye Chatterton GBR and Gabriela Czapska/Hanna Rajchert POL share the lead at equal points ahead of Sophie Steinlein/Oda Haussmann GER on 3rd. Also on rank 13 are Maddie Hawkins/Yumi Yoshiyasu USA (Annapolis YC) as best of 7 USA Girls teams among 73 entrants. ---- In the U17-rankings, Odysseas Spanakis/Konstaninos Michalopoulos GRE and Ange Delerce/Timothee Rossi FRA are on top at equal points. Vanessa Lahrkamp/Katherine McNamara USA (American YC) on 11th are the best of 4 USA U-17 teams in the 66 boat fleet. ----- The results and the daily news.
