With two Final Series races yesterday and another two today Tuesday July 9th, the Laser Standard World Championship in Japan was concluded with the Olympic Champion Tom Burton AUS winning the title prematurely before the last race. Matthew Wearn AUS delivered three top ten results finishing on rank 2 overall. The 2nd-ranked before the final day Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA however dropped from the podium on rank 6, leaving Bronze for George Gautrey NZL. ----- The final ranks of the North Americans sailing in the Goldfleet are Charlie Buckingham USA 11th, Christopher Barnard USA 29th, Henry Marshall USA 39th and Robert Davis CAN 50th. Yanic Gentry MEX is 75th. ----- The five additional Olympic nation berths for Tokyo go to SWE, ARG, RUS, HUN and GUA. ----- The ranking list and the news of yesterday.
