 420  World Championship 2019  Vilamoura POR  Day 4, no change on top of the three fleets after the first two Final Series races
The 420 Worlds continued yesterday in Vilamoura POR with the Final Series held in a moderate seabreeze with the defending champions Seb Menzies/Blake McGlashan NZL consolidating their lead with another race win. 10 points behind follow now Nacho Davila/Javier Mestre ESP on 2nd, Martin Vizner/Pedro Ameneiro ESP are new on 3rd. The best of yesterday with the rank 1 and 4 - Jonathan Steindle/Leonardo Honold GER - advanced on rank 6. Will Mixyne Bachels/Louis Fontisee USA (North Lake and Biscayne Bay YC), sailing in the Goldfleet, had their worst day (ranks 34 and 29) and dropped on rank 14, still as best of the three USA teams among the 89 entrants. ----- Vita Heathcote/Milly Boyle GBR were again the best Girls extending their lead on 16 points. Paula Van Wieringen/Maria Gil ESP progressed on rank 2, Irene Calici/Petra Gregori ITA stay on the 3rd place. Maddie Hawkins/Yumi Yoshiyasu USA (Annapolis YC) on rank 11 are the best ahead of 6 other USA Girls teams among the 37 entrants, three of them sailing in the Goldfleet. ----- Odysseas Spanakis/Konstaninos Michalopoulos GRE keep on dominating the U17 fleet with another race win. Ange Delerce/Timothee Rossi FRA on rank 2 are now 12 points behind the leaders. Florian Krauss/Jannis Suemmchen GER follow on rank 3. Vanessa Lahrkamp/Katherine McNamara USA (American YC) on 12th are the best of 4 USA U-17 teams in the 66 boat fleet. ----- All ranking lists and the daily news.
