 420  World Championship 2019  Vilamoura POR  Day 5, no wind, no racing, three final races today to conclude the Championship
After the fresh breeze during the Qualifications and the light wind on the first Final Series day, the wind was missing yesterday in the South of Portugal. ----- In the Men/Open fleet, the defending champions Seb Menzies/Blake McGlashan NZL will start to the last Final races today with a 10 point advantage on Nacho Davila/Javier Mestre ESP. Will Mixyne Bachels/Louis Fontisee USA (North Lake and Biscayne Bay YC), sailing in the Goldfleet, are on rank 14, still as best of the three USA teams among the 89 entrants. ----- In the Women, Vita Heathcote/Milly Boyle GBR are 16 points ahead of Paula Von Wieringen/Maria Gil ESP. Maddie Hawkins/Yumi Yoshiyasu USA (Annapolis YC) on rank 11 are the best ahead of 6 other USA Girls teams among the 37 entrants, three of them sailing in the Goldfleet. ----- In the U17-rankings, Odysseas Spanakis/Konstaninos Michalopoulos GRE are on top 12 points in front of Ange Delerce/Timothee Rossi FRA. Vanessa Lahrkamp/Katherine McNamara USA (American YC) on 12th are the best of 4 USA U-17 teams in the 66 boat fleet. ----- The ranking lists and the daily news.
