America's Cup News - Emirates Team New Zealand launch their first Boat
The first AC75, a 75-foot Foiling Monohull, launched by any of the five teams involved in the 2021 America's Cup Challenge, has been christened and splashed in Auckland NZL yesterday. This first of two boats, allowed to be built by the AC Protocol, will be used for extensive tests on Hauraki Gulf, the AC race area, during the New Zealand spring and summer season ahead to perfect the design and construction of the 2021 race boat, before being transported to Europe for the first America’s Cup World Series event in Cagliari, Sardinia ITA, April 23 to 26, 2020. ----- Luna Rossa will launch their boat early next week while the American syndicates Stars and Stripes and American Magic and Britain’s Team UK will soon follow. ----- The news.
