 Laser Standard + Radial  Master World Championship  Port Zeland NED  Day 1 with almost 300 boats including North Americans
Sea-like conditions prevailed on the inland-waters of Port Zeland yesterday at the Laser World Masters with two races held per class. The 146 Radials are sailing in five age categories (including 'Legends' age over 75), the 150 Standards are respresented in four categories. ---- In the largest fleet, the Laser Standard Masters (age 45-55), Serge Kats NED leads ahead of Brett Beyer AUS. Peter Hurley USA is 33rd among the 62 participants. ----- Most Radials are in the Grand Masters fleet (55-65), where Gilles Coadou FRA won both races and stays on top ahead of Wilmar Goenendijk NED and Martin Van Olffen NED. Andrew Holdsworth USA is 15th. ----- In the Great Grand Masters (65-75), Robert Lowndes AUS occupies the first place. Amnonis Gitelson USA is 6th among the 29 participants. ----- 12 Legends (75 up), 6 of them from North America, are racing with Kerry Waraker AUS on first ahead of Peter Seidenberg USA. ----- In the Laser Standard Grand Masters, Tomas Nordquist SWE is on top followed by Miguel Noguer ESP and Peter Vesella USA. Thomas Müller GER (1/bfd) and Luis Doreste ESP (dsq/1) are in arrear for the moment in the 54 boat fleet. ----- All ranking lists and the short report.
