RS:X-Windsurfing - World Championship - Torbole ITA - Day 2

Yesterday, Lilian De Geus NED took the overall lead in the RS:X women 3 points ahead of Yunxiu Lu CHN on 2nd. Marta Maggetti ITA is down on 3rd. ----- 7 of the 9 non-qualified nations for 2020 Olympia Tokyo made the cut for the Goldfleet. HKG, BRA, PER, FIN, MEX (with Mariana Aguilar Chavez Peon (U21) on 42nd), HUN and TUR secured herewith the nations berths for the Olympic regatta. ----- In the RS:X men, Pierre Le Coq FRA defended his first place over Kiran Badloe NED 2 points behind. The persuers, led by Piotr Myszka POL, are 11 and more points back. ----- 13 not yet qualified 2020 contenders will continue racing in the Goldfleet with the goal to get one of the 8 Olympic berths, i.e. KOR, HKG, SUI, BLT, LIT, CYP, USA (with Pedro Pascual 42nd and Geronimo Nores 48th), RUS,HUN, TUR, CZE, MEX (with Ignacio Berenguer MEX) und MLT. Hong Kong on rank 15 is the best placed candidate. ---- Three races were completed yesterday - two in the morning in a 15kn Northwind and one in the afternoon in 5-18kn Ora.
