IMOCA Open 60, Class 40, Multi 50 Transat Jacques Vabre Day 10, Beyou/Pratt FRA/GBR stalled in the Doldrums, Dalin/Elies FRA new leaders
During the past night UTC, Gilles Lamire/Antoine Carpentier FRA were the first to cross the Equator with their Multi 50. With 929nm left, they are 158nm in front and seem to be on a solid track for the line honours. ----- The Open 60 are struggling with the unconstant weather in the Doldrums, and the previously clear leader 'Charal' of Jérémy Béyou FRA/Christopher Pratt GBR, the most western boat, even stalled yesterday, giving way for Charlie Dalin/Yann Eliès FRA. The leading duo was separated by 5nm only this morning UTC. Charlie Enright USA/Pascal Bidégorry FRA followed with a 73nm deficit. ----- A new 24 hour record was established in the Class 40, where the leading Ian Lipinski POL/Adrien Hardy FRA covered over 400nm, extending their advantage on 75nm. Fabien Delahaye FRA/Sam Goodchild GBR and Aymeric Chappellier/Pierre Leboucher FRA remain on the ranks 2 and 3. With a backlog of 100nm on rank 3, Simon Koster/Valentin Gautier SUI on the 4th position are still well placed. ----- The race tracker, the daily news and the videos.
