At the US Sailboat Show in Annapolis Md in October 2019, the Premiere Sailing League USA was announced, an organized, national fleet racing league, modeled after the Sailing League in Europe that has taken off globally. The Premiere Sailing League USA (PSL) will supply a fleet of identical RS21 keelboats that will be raced on inshore, short course, stadium style races at select venues across the country. ----- The PSL will debut on Pensacola Bay during a Winter Exhibition Series between January 3 and April 5, 2020 on supplied RS21 keelboats racing on courses set just off the Pensacola waterfront. ----- The European Sailing Champions League for Clubs qualified in their National Leagues, held on J/70s, is in its seventh year. Most prominent Club teams from European nations, such as the Royal Thames YC (GBR), founded 1775, the Nord-Deutsche Regatta Verein (GER), founded in 1868, the Royal Swedish YC (SWE), founded in 1830 or the two-times America's Cup winner Société Nautique of Geneva (SUI), founded 1872, are among the qualified for the 2020 Continental Semi Finals and Finals.. The Sailing Champions League winner 2019 was the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron (AUS), invited with a wild-card.
