The Botin 52 'Fox' of Victor Wild, San Diego, CA, USA, follows 2 points behind. 'Bella Mente', the Maxi 52 of Hap Fauth, Naples, FL, USA, on rank 3 is already 5 points back. ----- Similar situation in the ORC2, with the J/109 'Leading Edge' of William Sutton, Houston, TX, USA as best of the day (ranks 1/1/2) ahead of the Swan 42 'Impetuous' of Paul Zabetakis, Jamestown, RI, USA, and 5 points back the Farr 30 'Das Blau Max' of the US Sailing President Cory Sertl, Jamestown, RI, USA. ----- Last but not least the Melges IC37, the largest fleet with 12 boats having sailed four races, with a trio closely together lead by 'Pacific Yankee' of Drew Freides /Bill Ruh, Los Angeles, CA, USA, tied with 'Blazer II' of Christopher Culver, Newport, RI, USA, and a point behind 'Members Only' of Kinney/Cross/Swett, Jamestown, RI, USA. ----- The results, the event Facebook page with reports and photos, and the event website, and the video of day 1.
