At midnight, the leading Charlie Dalin FRA with his 'Apivia' was the first to round Cape of Good Hope after 22 days and 9 hours. Thomas Ruyant FRA ('LinkedOut'), sailing in 2nd place, was able to catch up slightly, but he is still 217nm behind. After the dramatic rescue operation of Kevin Escoffier FRA, in which Boris Herrmann GER, Sébastien Simon FRA and Yannick Bestaven FRA were involved alongside Jean Le Cam, Louis Burton FRA ('Bureau Vallée 2', Foiler),, sailing in the far south, moved up to 3rd place, 280nm behind. The rescuers will however receive a time credit from the race organizers. On rank 4 is now the astonishing Damien Séguin FRA ('Groupe Apicil', Non Foiler), only 425nm behind Dalin. Yesterday, the Paralympic Champion was the fastest of the fleet! Boris Herrmann GER ('SeaExplorer', Foiler) follows in 5th place, 487nm behind. In the duel of the best women, Isabelle Joschke FRA/GER has reduced the gap on Samantha Davis GBR ('Initiatives Coeurs'), still sailing in 12th place, to 21nm. ----- The race tracker and the reports.
