IMOCA Open 60 Vendee Globe Day 30
For days, the leading group has been struggling with the rough conditions of the Indian Ocean. The leading duo with Charlie Dalin FRA ('Apivia') and Thomas Ruyant FRA ('LinkedOut') 209nm behind has reached a new weather system yesterday and should be able to break away today. The pursuers, newly led by Yannick Bestaven FRA ('Maitre Coq'), are now already 344nm and more behind. Damien Séguin FRA ('Apicil'), busy repairing his autopilot, fell back to 7th position 472 miles in arrear. Isabelle Joschke FRA/GER ('MASCF') on rank 9 another 90nm behind is still the best-classified woman. ----- Much wind and difficult cross waves have been announced for today and more cancellations might well be expected. ----- The race tracker and the reports.
