The wind conditions along the exclusion zone are now quite stable and the leading group is rapidly moving towards the Cape Horn in fresh aft winds. The leader Yannick Bestaven FRA ('Maître Coq'), still missing about 1700nm this morning UTC, should round the Cape on January 2nd. Keeping his 2nd place 157nm behind, was Charlie Dalin FRA ('Apivia'), but a chasing group is moving up more and more. New in 3rd place with now a 197nm backlog is Damien Séguin FRA ('Groupe Apicil', Non-Foiler) who has made up 40nm since yesterday. Only 6nm behind Séguin follows Thomas Ruyant FRA ('LinkedOut') now in 4th, the 5th-ranked Jean Le Cam FRA ('Yes we Cam') is another 24nm back. Isabelle Joschke FRA/GER ('MASCF') in 7th has a 274nm deficit, Boris Herrmann GER ('SeaExplorer') follows 6nm behind her in 8th. ----- The race tracker and the reports.
