With 4500nm left to the finish, Yannick Bestaven FRA ('Maître Coq') on the most western course along the Brazilian coast has regained the first position during the past 24 hours. Separated by only 120nm, the leading 9-boat-pack is sailing closer together than ever. The runner-up Charlie Dalin FRA ('Apivia') was 6nm behind this morning UTC. 23 respectively 26nm back followed Louis Burton ('Bureau Vallée') new in 3rd and Thomas Ruyant FRA ('LinkedOut') in 4th. Damien Seguin FRA ('Groupe Apicil') in 5th (and first Non-Foiler) kept the 41nm deficit on the leader. ----- The first woman Clarisse Cremer FRA ('Banque Populaire') in 12th was 800nm behind. ----- The northeast trade winds are unstable with variations in strength and direction and therefore provoking speed differences between the boats.
