Last night, the leaders passed the equator, and now, the 3500-mile final sprint back to Les Sables d'Olonne FRA lies ahead. Louis Burton FRA (Bureau Vallée 2) was the first back in the north, but this morning, he was again 1.6 miles behind Charlie Dalin FRA (Apivia) in second place. Moving up further is Boris Herrmann GER (SeaExplorer). In 3rd, he is only 22 miles behind Dalin. Damien Seguin FRA (Groupe Apicil) remains the best non-Foiler in 6th place with a 93 miles backlog. In 22nd and 23rd places, Miranda Merron FRA and Clément Giraud FRA passed Cape Horn this morning. Only Samantha Davis GBR, Alexa Barrier FRA, and Ari Huusela FIN remain in the Pacific. Sébastien Destremau FRA (merci) finally abandoned yesterday after a long series of repairs and is on his way to New Zealand. The race tracker and the reports.
