 470, RS:XWindsurfer  Portugal Grand Prix  Round 2  Vilamoura POR  Day 2  the USA Cowles sisters take the lead
Light winds prevailed on the 2nd day of the Portugal Grand Prix as well and all classes could sail 2 races each. ----- In the 470 men, the favorites advanced: New leaders are Jordi Xammar/Nicolas Rodriguez ESP, 3 points ahead of Balasz and Zsombor Gyapjas HUN in 2nd. On rank 3 follow Diego and Pedro Costa POR. Stu McNay/Dave Hughes USA (Trevor Moore Foundation) advanced on rank 5. Shawn Harvey/Augie Dale USA (Oyster Bay 470 Team) remain on rank 24. ----- In the 470 women, Carmen and Emma Cowles USA (Larchmont YC) took the lead, with Camille Lecointre/ Aloise Retornaz FRA tied for 2nd. Wanser/Winkel GER are only one point behind in 3rd place. No progress for Atlantic and Nora Brugman USA (Shelter Island YC) now in 16th. Nikole Barnes/Lara Dallman-Weiss USA (St. Francis YC/New York YC) joined the competition yesterday with two medium ranks and are in 20th place among 26 teams. ----- In the 470 mixed, Nitai Hasson/Saar Tamir ISR remain on top, extending their lead on the tied Vita Heathcote/Ryan Orr GBR and Louisa Nordstrom/Trevor Bornarth USA (Oyster Bay 470 Team) to 5 points. ----- the RS:X windsurfers, Piotr Myszka POL continued to show his superiority with 1st and 2nd places. His lead over Angel Grande ESP is now already 8 points. Pedro Pascual Suitt USA follows on rank 11. ----- Katy Spychakov ISR moved up on top of the female windsurfers with 2 day wins.
