 Various Classes  Charleston Race Week 2021  Final results  Successful Sailboat Racing amidst a Pandemic
While the outcome on top of the J/70 and Melges 24 remained unchanged yesterday with clear winners, the situation in the third-largest class, the VX One, remained tight till the end. Please find here the overview on the top three in the largest fleets: ----- VX One (26 boats) Doug Clark , Mystic, CT, and his team coming strongly from behind moved on top in the final two races (ranks 2 and 1), relegating Christopher Alexander, Ocean Springs, MS, tied on 2nd. Michelle Warner, Boulder, CO followed in 3rd 2 points behind. ----- Melges 24 (35 boats) Travis Weisleder, Richmond, VA, USA, and his team remained the superior winners 6 points ahead. Swapping ranks 2 and 3, Laura Grondin, West Hartford, CT, best of the day new in 2nd, replaced Bora Gulari, Detroit, MI. ----- J/70 (29 boats) Outstanding victory of Bruno Pasquinelli, Dallas, TX, and his team, 16 points ahead Joel Ronning, Excelsior, MN. Another 3 points back, Michael Goldfarb, Seattle, WA, replaced John Heaton, Wilmette, IL, on the podium. ----- The results, the final report, and the event website.
