The superior Eric Monnin SUI with his French team had everything under control on the last day of the Platu-25 World Championship in Brunnen SUI, again with best Lake Uri thermal breeze conditions, winning the title with an 18 points' advantage ahead of Matthias Bermejo SUI. The Italian duel for Bronze went in favor of Tommaso De Bellis ITA with a first place in the final race. The defending champion Francesco Lanera ITA missed the podium by one points.

Best thermal breeze conditions prevailed on Lake Uri also yesterday and another three races have been completed. Eric Monnin SUI won again two heats and is now before the last races today 13 points ahead (and the ranks 4 and 5 as discards). The title will therefore most likely be his. The third race win of the day went to Matthias Bermejo SUI who moved up on rank 2. Tommaso De Bellis ITA on the third position is 3 points behind, and also Francesca Lanera ITA on rank 4 can still aim for a Medal.

Due to the very hot weather yesterday - and today should be the same - the thermal breeze filled in only in the afternoon around 15h CET, but it stayed on longer and nevertheless, two races could be completed.
Eric Monnin SUI defended the overall lead with the day ranks 1 and 4. As a number of protests have not been deliberated yet, Race Management decided to not post a preliminary ranking list. It should follow during the morning on the event website.
