Two races were sailed on the last day of the Tornado Europeans in a good 12 to 16kn breeze. After another race win, Iordanis Paschalidis/Konstantinos Trigonis GRE were the premature European Champions, their 15th important title in 10 years ! Marcel and Jürg Steiner SUI remained inspite of a premature start on rank 2. Bob and Marc Baier GER earned Bronze. As best Mixed-Team, Martin and Julia Rusterholz SUI finished 5th among the 23 teams.

Only an abandonded race was held on Friday due to lack of wind, but yesterday, a well-established Ora filled in on Lake Garda allowing to complete three good races.
Two heats were again won by the clear leaders Iordanis Paschalidis/Konstantinos Trigonis GRE on first ahead of Marcel and Jörg Steiner SUI and Bob and Marc Baier GER.

Apparantly no racing on Lake Garda yesterday, as no new information has been posted on the event website. Paschalidis/Trigonis GRE are leading with two race wins ahead of Marcel and Jürg Steiner SUI on rank 2. Baier/Baier GER are 3rd.

The European Championship of the former Olympic Tornados began yesterday on Lake Garda with two races sailed in a well-established Ora. Still a class of their-own were the defending Champions Iordanis Paschalidis/Konstantinos Trigonis GRE with two bullets. First challengers are Marcel Steiner/Jörg Steiner SUI twice on rank 2. 23 teams from 9 nations participate.
