 Laser Standard & Radial - Master World Championship - Port Zelande NED - Final results, North Americans with 3 podiums The Laser World Masters in the Netherlands were concluded yesterday in light winds, allowing the Standards to complete the planned two races in the morning in a 5-7kn wind, while the Radial in the afternoon had to content themselves with just one race. ----- In the Lasers Standard, Dave Ridley NZL replaced the tied Edoardo Van Vianen NED on top of the Apprentices (35-45). No changes occurred - as expected - in all other age categories. The winners are Serge Kats NED Masters (45-55), Carlos Martinez ESP Grand Masters (55-65), Wolfgang Gerz GER Great Grand Masters (65-75). ----- In the Lasers Radial, the winners are Jon Emmett GBR Apprentices, Scott Leigh NZL Masters, Gilles Coadou FRA Grand Masters, Jeff Loosemore AUS Great Grand Masters, Kerry Waraker AUS Legends. ----- The best North Americans were in the Lasers Standard Gord Welsh CAN 5th Apprentices, Peter Hurley USA 6th Masters, Peter Vesella USA 9th Grand Masters and Don Hahl USA 5th Great Grand Masters. ----- In the Lasers Radial Robert Hallawell USA 7th Masters, Timothy Woodford 3rd Grand Masters, Bill Symes USA 2nd Great Grand Masters and Johan Van Rossem 2nd Legends. ----- The event website with all Ranking lists and the final report.

 Laser Standard & Radial - Master World Championship - Port Zelande NED - Day 5, Champions practically decided in 6 of the 9 events before the last races of today Two more races were sailed yesterday at the Laser World Masters in the Netherlands in a 10kn wind, and in a number of class categories, preliminary decisions have been made before the final races of today. ----- In the Lasers Standard, Wolfgang Gerz GER has a 12 point lead in the Great Grand Masters (65-75). Don Hahl USA stayed on rank 4. Carlos Martinez ESP with a 23 point advantage in the Grand Masters (55-65) can hardly be removed from the top. Peter Vesella USA is down on 6th. Even 33 points is the advance of Serge Kats NED in the Standard Masters (45-55). Peter Hurley USA] remained on 6th. Only in the Standard Apprentices (35-45), the outcome is open as the first three - Van Vianen NED, West ESP and Scott NZL - are separated by 2 points only. Gord Welsh CAN on rank 4 is 18 points from the podium. ----- In the Lasers Radial, most decisions re the Champions seem to be made as well. Scott Leigh NZL is first in the Radial Masters (45-55) with a 13 point advance. Robert Hallawell USA follows on rank 7. Jeff Loosemore AUS in the Radial Great Grand Masters (65-75) has also a 13 point advantage on Bill Symes USA on 2nd. Another dominating leader is Jon Emmett GBR in the Radial Apprentices (35-45) 13 points ahead as well. In the Radial Grand Masters (55-65) however, the title will be decided today in a duel between Gilles Coadou FRA and 5 points behind Kim Tan NED. Timothy Woodford CAN will remain on rank 3. Don Hahl USA stayed on rank 4. The same is true for Serge Kats NED, Masters (45-55) on first in the Standard Masters. Peter Hurley USA] remained on 6th. In the Standard Grand Masters, Carlos Martinez ESP extended his lead on Thomas Nordquist SWE. Peter Vesella USA is up on 4th again. No change in the Standard Apprentices where Jared West ESP is on top, Gord Welsh CAN on rank 5. ----- In the Lasers Radial, most decisions re the Champions seem to be made. Only in the Legends (75+), the ranks 1 and 2 - Kerry Waraker AUS and Johan Van Rossem CAN - are separated by one point only. Don Hahl USA is 4th. In the Standard Grand Masters, Carlos Martinez ESP leads one point ahead of Thomas Nordquist SWE. Peter Vesella USA is now 7th.  Laser Standard & Radial - Master World Championship 2019 - Port Zelande NED - Day 2, North Americans in top ranks, Seidenberg USA 1st Legend In the Lasers Radial, Jon Emmet GBR is first in the Apprentices (age 35-45) with three race wins. Leith Scott NZL is on top of the Masters. Robert Hallawell USA follows as 5th. Peter Seidenberg USA has taken the lead in the Legends (75 ) ahead of Johan Van Rossem CAN. In the largest fleet, the Radial Grand Master (55-65), Kim Tan NED replaced Gilles Coadou FRA on top of the rankings. Timothy Woodford CAN is 3rd. In the Great-Grand-Masters, Robert Lowndes AUS is first ahead of Bill Symes USA. ----- In the Lasers Standard, Serge Kats NED extended his lead in the Masters (45-55). Peter Hurley USA is 10th. The new leader in the Grand Masters (55-65) is Carlos Martinez ESP, tied with Thomas Nordquist SWE on 2nd. The Olympic medalists Luis Doreste ESP (3rd), Miguel Noguer ESP (6th) and José-Maria Van der Ploeg ESP (8th) progressed as well.  Laser Standard & Radial - Master World Championship - Port Zeland NED - Day 1 with almost 300 boats including North Americans Sea-like conditions prevailed on the inland-waters of Port Zeland yesterday at the Laser World Masters with two races held per class. The 146 Radials are sailing in five age categories (including 'Legends' age over 75), the 150 Standards are respresented in four categories. ---- In the largest fleet, the Laser Standard Masters (age 45-55), Serge Kats NED leads ahead of Brett Beyer AUS. Peter Hurley USA is 33rd among the 62 participants. ----- Most Radials are in the Grand Masters fleet (55-65), where Gilles Coadou FRA won both races and stays on top ahead of Wilmar Goenendijk NED and Martin Van Olffen NED. Andrew Holdsworth USA is 15th. ----- In the Great Grand Masters (65-75), Robert Lowndes AUS occupies the first place. Amnonis Gitelson USA is 6th among the 29 participants. ----- 12 Legends (75 up), 6 of them from North America, are racing with Kerry Waraker AUS on first ahead of Peter Seidenberg USA. ----- In the Laser Standard Grand Masters, Tomas Nordquist SWE is on top followed by Miguel Noguer ESP and Peter Vesella USA.
