Yesterday, the Final Series at the Trofeo Princesa Sofia were concluded with two races per class sailed under an overcast sky in a 10kn breeze.
In the Lasers Standard, the winners of the day were Thomas Saunders NZL and Karl-Martin Rammö EST. In the overall rankings, Matthew Wearn AUS has a 19 points' lead and loosing rank 1 in today's Medal Race is not very likely. Sam Meech NZL and Tonci Stipanovic CRO on the ranks 2 and 3 have also considerable leads on the rest of the fleet. Christopher Barnard USA climbed on the excellent 4th position qualified for today's Medal Race. For Robert Davies CAN 41st and Yanic Gentry MEX 51st, the Trofeo ended yesterday.
In the Radials, the winner is known, as Anne-Marie Rindom DEN is 23 points ahead of Alison Young GBR and Marit Bouwmeester NED on 2nd and 3rd. Emma Plaeschart BEL and Maria Erdi HUN are not far behind. No North Americans are qualified for the Medal Race. Paige Railey USA had a bad day and decended on rank 12 with a 7 points deficit on rank 10. Sarah Douglas CAN 32nd and Elena Oetling MEX 88th concluded the Trofeo yesterday.
