Olympic Worldcup 2018/19 - Act 1 - Enoshima JPN - Day 7

The Enoshima JPN Olympic Classes Worldcup continued yesterday with the first 5 Medal Races as well as fleetraces for the other classes.
James Peters/Fynn Sterritt GBR were the winners in the Medal Race as well, confirming their overall victory. In the 49ersFX, the Olympic Champions Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA were the premature winners before the last race already. In the Nacras-17, the long-time leader Tito Ruggero/Caterina Banti ITA were replaced on top by Jason Waterhouse/Lisa Darmanin AUS. Winners in the RS:X windsurfers were Peina Chen CHN in the women and Kiran Badloe NED in the men.

• Laser (5): Chris Barnard USA 29th, Charlie Buckingham USA 30th, Robert Davis CAN 37th, Malcolm Lamphere USA 48th, Marek Zaleski USA 49th
• Laser Radial (4): Sarah Douglas CAN 6th, Haddon Hughes USA 13th, Paige Railey USA 14th, Erika Reineke USA 18th
• Finn (2): Caleb Paine USA 13th, Luke Muller USA 15th
• 49er (2): Christopher Rast/Trevor Burd USA 9th (4th in Medal Race), Judge Ryan/ Hans Henken USA 25th
• 49erFX (2): Stephanie Roble/ Margaret Shea USA 10th (last in Medal Race), Kate Shaner/ Charlotte Mack (USA 21st
• 470 M (1): Stu McNay/ Dave Hughes USA 5th
• Nacra 17 (2): Bora Gulari/Helena Scutt USA 10th (9th in Medal Race), Riley Gibbs/ Louisa Chafee USA 12th

Today, the remaining Medal Races are on the program with Sarah Douglas CAN in the Lasers Radial. The first start however had to be postponed due to lack of wind ..... and the forecast remains not very promising.
