Farr 40 - 2018 World Championship, Chicago IL, Oct 6-9 - Day 3

Tuesday, October 9, 2018
Chicago’s weather swung 180 degrees overnight to a shifty southerly breeze bringing unseasonably warm temperatures and flat seas. Unfortunately, the oscillating air refused to settle, bringing an early end to the day after only two races.
Consistency is key at the Farr 40 World Championship and that is what Alex Roeper’s 'Plenty' USA had going yesterday. After stumbling on Sunday, the 'Plenty' team was back on top after the third day of racing, at equal points with Wolfgang Schaefer’s 'Struntje light' GER. 'Enfant Terrible' of Alberto Rossi ITA is now on 3rd.
Races 9 to 11 are scheduled for today, concluding the Championship as planned, provided the announced winds from the south at 12-15kn and flat water will fill in.
Theresults and the news.
