Friday, September 27, 2019
Leader change in the RS:X men yesterday: Kiran Badloe NED replaced Pierre Le Coq FRA on top by one point. As best of the day, the Olympic Champion Dorian Van Rijsselberge NED moved up on rank 3. ----- The North Americans in the Goldfleet are on the positions 43 (Geronimo Nores USA), 47 (Pedro Pascual USA) and 57 (Ignacio Berenguer MEX). ----- Concerning the 2020 Olympic nations berths, KOR (rank 8), HKG (14th) and BLR (24th) seem to be on a safe way to Tokyo. LTU (30th), SUI (34th), CYP (40th), USA (44th) and CZE (48th) occupy the remaining qualification positions. MEX as 13th nation is 33 points behind the 8-place-cut and too far away from the Games. ----- No change on top of the RS:X women, inspite of the fact, that the leading Lilian De Geus NED sailed her discard result (rank 21). Giorgia Speciale ITA, 2 points behind on rank 2, as well as Katy Spychakow ISR on the 3rd place considerably reduced the gap to rank 1. ----- Mariana Aguilar Chavez Peon MEX is 46th. ----- Yesterday, the men completed three Northwind races, while the women could only sail one race in the afternoon in a light Ora breeze. ----- Today, three more races are on the program for the Gold- and Silverfleets. The ten best by gender will sail the Medal Races on Saturday, the non-qualified another final fleetraces. ----- The news with links to the results.
