ISAF Youth World Championship 2015 - Langkawi MAS -

ISAF Youth World Championship 2015 - Langkawi MAS - Record-size fleets and perfect sailing conditions during the past week made the 2015 ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship in Malaysia a most successful event but ......... the discussion about the forced absence of the two Israeli windsurfers, both with the highest potential for the RS:X Boys and Girls podiums, is not over yet. Several National Authorites even requested to void this Championship. Once more ISAF - or World Sailing as it is called now - responsible for the correct running of this ISAF event organised together with the local national federation, made a desolate leaderless impression, as the Israeli problem had been on the table quite some time in advance. An Emergency Executive Meeting has now been called for January 7 to 9 to deliberate this out-of-line situation. The Malaysian Yachting Federation pretends now that neither Visa delays nor flags or national anthems, but the entourage of the team with nine armed Mossad agents was the problem.

ISAF Youth World Championship 2015 - Langkawi MAS - political disturbances

ISAF Youth World Championship 2015 - Langkawi MAS - political disturbances The ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship in Malaysia will begin next Monday, and with 82 nations this event will be attended by as many nations as never before .... and there is hardly any other sport with such a world-wide spread. But there is now one nation less: Israel, with the defending champion in the windsurfers boys and a windsurfer girl retired as the organisers did not allow them to carry the Israel flag. The reason given by the Government was that Visas have not been issued because Malaysia does not have any diplomatic ties with Israel. An article in Sail-World.
