 Windsurfing - PWA World Tour 2016 - Grand Slam - La Torche FRA - Day 8 Eight days at the French Atlantic coast without wind ! There is still a little hope, that today, final day onf the PWA Grand Slam, a Slalom elimination can take place. The World Champion's title is at stake between Pierre Mortefon FRA and Matteo Iachino ITA. Provided that the French was the winner, a 4th rank is sufficient for the Italian to remain on top overall and grasp Gold in the annual rankings.

 Windsurfing - PWA World Tour 2016 - Grand Slam - La Torche FRA - Day 6 Again no competitions in La Torche FRA yesterday due to lack of sufficient wind. The Wave-Contests have been cancelled and the Women Wave World Champion's title goes to Iballa Moreno ESP ahead of her twin-sister Daida Moreno ESP and Sara-Quita Offringa NED (Aruba) on the ranks 2 and 3. The Men Wave title will be decided in two weeks time on Hawaii. Cyril Moussilmani FRA is the only driver who can replace Victor Fernandez ESP on rank 1.

 Windsurfing - PWA World Tour 2016 - Grand Slam - La Torche FRA - Day 5 Again not enough wind to start the PWA Grand Slam in La Torche FRA. Late in the afternoon, the Towing Session Final was organised with Dieter Van der Eyken NED as winner. The Anticyclone does not seem to move much and another windless day is probably ahead. Only on Friday, a major weather change can be expected.

 Windsurfing - PWA World Tour 2016 - Grand Slam - La Torche FRA - Day 4 The wind was there in La Torche yesterday, but in the wrong direction from the shore and neither the Freestylers nor the Wave drivers had good enough surfs to start competition. The PWA website contains an interview with the Moreno twins who have been dominting the Wave competitions for years. This year, Iballa is the Worldcup overall leader and with a victory in the La Torche event, she could grasp the 2016 title prematurely.

 Windsurfing - PWA World Tour 2016 - Grand Slam - La Torche FRA - Day 3 No results also on day 3 of the La Torche Grand Slam ! However, the breakers were there, but the wind was not regular enough for a fair competition. Today, a 25 kn wind has been forecast, but in the wrong direction from the shore. Depending on the wind angle, racing may be started anyway.

 Windsurfing - PWA World Tour - Grand Slam - La Torche FRA - Day 1 The PWA Grand-Slam in La Torche / Bretagne FRA begeins today, but the wind forecast is not quite promising. However, the situation should change on the weekend with fresh winds of up to 25 kn. The Slalom specialists will fight for the Tour victory, i.e. the World Champion's title and the Wave men and women titles could be awarded as well, depending on the outcome of the contest.
