 Optimist - Trofeu Vila de Palamos - Palamos ESP - Final results with USA participants The Trofeu Palamos was concluded yesterday in good sailing conditions with 3 races in all groups.
Alberto Morales ESP defended his first place winning overall 1 point ahead of the tied Baltasar Nacho ESP and William Risselin BEL with the same number of points. Another 2 points behind followed a trio at equal points with the best girl Maria Perello ESP, Maxime Thommen SUI and Marina Garau ESP. Cort Snyder USA on rank 35 was the best USA helmsman. Sara Schumann USA on 68th, Parker Tyson USA 76th and Guthrie Braun USA 80th finished also in the top-100.

Leader after the three races of the opening day is Alberto Morales ESP one point ahead of Maria Perello ESP. Paul Clodi AUT is 3rd, Maxime Thommen SUI 4th.  Optimist - Trofeu Vila de Palamos - Palamos ESP - Day 1, with USA and BER participants With 536 Optimists from 23 nations and 3 continents, including 16 USA and 2 Bermuda participants, the Optimist Palamos Trophy has once again a top attendance. Yesterday, all 5 Groups sailed the scheduled 3 races each in sun and moderate 8 to 11 kn winds. The first overall leader is Alberto Morales ESP (ranks 2/2/2), one point ahead of Maria Perello ESP, first girl and first in the U12 rankings. Another 2 points behind are Paul Clodi AUT and Maxime Thommen SUI at equal points on rank 3. Best USA helmsman is Stephen Momeier USA on the 24th place.
