Star - Junior World Championship 2019 - Miami FL, USA - Final results

With another two races, held in an 8 to 10kn wind, the inaugural Starboat U30 Junior Championship was concluded in Miami yesterday. Finishing twice on 3rd, Luke Lawrence/Alexeij Solivanov USA grasped the title 3 points ahead of Tomas Hornos USA/Pedro Trouche BRA. On rank 3 followed Robert and Peter O'Leary IRL.

Star - Junior World Championship 2019 - Miami FL, USA - Day 2, Buckingham USA takes overall lead

Perfect Biscayne Bay seabreeze conditions around 12kn prevailed yesterday and allowed to sail three races, catching up with the delay in the program.
Finishing 5/6/1, Charlie Buckingham USA (he finished 4th in the Lasers at the Miami Worldcup event last Sunday) and Austin Sperry USA (US-Olympian 2008) took the overall lead at equal points with Thomas Hornos USA with Pedro Trouche BRA as crew. On rank 3 follow Luke Lawrence/Alexeij Selivanov USA.

Star - U30-World Championship - Miami FL, USA - Day 1, Luke Lawrence USA first leader

Sunshine and a light 5 to 8 kn breeze welcomed the 36 teams on the opening day of the inaugural Star Junior World Championship on Biscayne Bay / Miami FL. The age limit is valid for the helmsmen and not the crews. Luke Lawrence/Alexey Selivanov USA won the only race held ahead of the Laser Radial Youth World Champion Guido Gallinaro ITA (with Frithjof Kleen GER) and Robert + Peter O'Leary IRL.

 Star - Junior World Championship 2019 - Miami FL, USA - Start today Today on Biscayne Bay begins the Star Class Youth World Championship (U25) with 36 teams from 15 nations.
