F50-Catamaran - Sail GP, Act 1 - Sydney AUS - Final results

We reported yesterday on the clear victory of 'Team Australia' of Tom Slingsby AUS over 'Team Japan' of Nathan Outteridge AUS winning not only the final crucial matchrace of the inaugural F50 SailGP event on Sydney Harbour, but also four of the five fleetraces. Act two will be held on San Francisco Bay in May.

 F50-Catamaran - Sail GP, Act 1 - Sydney AUS - Day 2 Two races - both won by Team Australia of Tom Slingsby AUS and a Matchrace Final were held this morning UTC on Sydney Harbour and the Australians as clear winners, leading the overall SailGP rankings after the first Act of the Series 3 points ahead of Team Japan of Nathan Outteridge AUS. The rest of the fleet is 9 points and more behind rank 2 with Team Great Britain on 3rd.

F50-Catamaran - SailGP, Act I - Sydney AUS - Day 1

 F50-Catamaran - SailGP, Act I - Sydney AUS - Day 1 The inaugural SailGP event on the former America's Cup catamarans transferred in One-Design Foiling F50 multihulls was held this morning UTC on Sydney Harbour.
Winners of the three races were Team Japan with Nathan Outteridge AUS and twice Team Australia with Tom Slingsby AUS. The Japanese are the interim's leaders after the first day one point ahead of Team Australia who had a bad first race (4th). Three more races will take place tomorrow morning that can be followed live on our website.
