 Olympic Classes - Kiel Week - Kiel GER - Final results, Teams of NZL, GER, SWE, GBR and AUT on top of the 6 Olympic events In the 49ers, the fight for the Medals was very much disputed with a Kiwi victory at the end, - not by the multiple World and Olympic Champions and America's Cup winners Peter Burling/Blair Tuke NZL finishing 5th only, but Logan Dunning/Oscar Gunn NZL ahead of Przybytek/Kolodzinski POL and Peters/Sterrit GBR. Victoria Jurczok/Anika Lorenz GER remained on top of the 49ersFX ahead of Offermann/De Ruijter NED and Schütt/Nielsby DEN. First in the Finns was Philipp Kasüske GER in front of Ondrej Teply CZE and Jake Lilley AUS. The dominator in the Lasers Radial Josefin Olsson SWE was also the winner of the Medal Race and finished first overall ahead of Manami Doi JPN and Tuula Tenkanen FIN. In the Lasers Standard, Jack Cookson GBR was the clear winner. Thomas Zajac/Barbara Matz AUT defended their first place in the Nacra-17 against Vittorio Bissaro/Maelle Frascari ITA and Lin Cenholt/Christian Lübeck DEN completing the podium. ----- The Olympic 470s and RS:X windsurfers were not present in Kiel. ----- The concluding Medal Races at the 125th Kiel Week yesterday were sailed in perfect sunny conditions and a 16kn wind without North American participants. ----- All ranking lists and the final report.

 Olympic Classes - Kiel Week - Kiel GER - Day 4, no North American teams in Medal Races today Hot summer temperatures in the high 80ies and light winds prevailed on the second-last day of the Kiel Week held with a reduced program. ----- The double-point-no discard Medal Race of the 49ers today will be exciting, as the leaders Przybytek/Kolodzinski POL are only one point ahead of Dunning/Gunn NZL, and even Fantela/Fantela CRO on rank 9 with a 15 point backlog have chances for a Medal. The North American teams are down in the rankings. Ian Barrows/Mitchell Kiss USA as best among the four USA teams are on the 28th place. Even eight teams from Canada made the journey to Northern Germany, all ranked in the second half of the 82-boat fleet, with Alexander Heinzemann/Justin Barnes CAN as best on rank 41. ----- Inspite of a premature start penalty, Viktoria Jurczok/Anika Lorenz GER defended rank 1 in the 49erFX. Offermann/de Ruijter NED followed with a 6 point backlog on rank 2. Paris Henken/Anna Tobias Tunnicliffe USA are 21th, Georgia and Antonio Lewin-Lafrance CAN 24th among 52 participants. ----- In the Finns, Milan Vujasinovic CRO has taken the lead 3 points ahead of Philipp Kasueske GER. ----- Josefin Olsson SWE has a solid 12 point lead before the Laser Radial Medal Race of today. Tuula Tenkanen FIN and Manami Doi JPN on the ranks 2 and 3 will fight for Silver and Bronze. An excellent 4th rank in the last race brought Elena Oetling MEX on rank 13 overall, only 10 points behind the Medal Race cut. ----- In the Lasers Standard, Jack Cookson GBR has taken the lead. Only Wilhelm Kark SWE 10 points behind has a theoretical chance to replace him on top. Noah Collinson CAN on rank 16 is the best of 4 CAN sailors. ----- In the Nacra 17, the first four are separated by 6 points only. Thomas Zajac/Barbara Matz AUT are now 3 points ahead of Lin Cenholt/Christian Lübeck DEN, and another 3 points back are Paul Kohlhoff/Alica Stuhlemmer GER down on 3rd. ----- All ranking lists and the daily news.

 Olympic Classes - Kieler Woche - Kiel GER - Day 3 - light, variable winds and bad race ranks to reshuffle overall results After two windy days, the breeze was light yesterday during the races of the Olympic Classes. ----- In the 49ers, Dunning/Gunn NZL took the lead 5 points ahead of Philipps/Philipps AUS and Burling/Tuke NZL at equal points. Ian Barrows/Mitchell Kiss USA had their worst day and descended on rank 27 as best among 4 USA teams. Alexander Heinzemann/Justin Barnes CAN on rank 41 are leading the 8 Canadian teams. ----- Im 49erFX, Viktoria Jurczok/Anika Lorenz GER defended their lead. Offerman/de Ruijter NED follow 10 points back on rank 2. Baad-Nielsen/Thusgaard DEN advanced on rank 3. Paris Henken/Anna Tobias Tunnicliffe USA are 21th, Georgia and Antonio Lewin-Lafrance CAN 25th. ----- In the Finns, Philipp Kasüske GER joined the leading Jake Lilley AUS on top. No North Americans. ----- Only 2 points is now the advantage of Josefin Olsson SWE on Manami Doi JPN in the Lasers Radial. Elena Oetling MEX sailed a discard (39th) and dropped on 14th. ----- Daniel Whiteley GBR defended his lead in the Lasers Standard. Fischer/Graf GER are on 3rd. Ian Barrows/Mitchell Kiss USA on rank 19 are the best among 4 USA teams. Alexander Heinzemann/Justin Barnes CAN on rank 36 are leading the 8 Canadian teams. ----- In the 49erFX, Victoria Jurczok/Anika Lorenz GER are new on rank 1 ahead of Bekkering/Duetz NED and Bobeck/Tengström SWE tied on 2nd and 3rd. Paris Henken/Anna Tobias Tunnicliffe USA are 20th, Georgia and Antonio Lewin-Lafrance CAN 27th. ----- In the Finns, Jake Lilley AUS is new on top one point ahead of Philipp Kasüske GER.  Olympic Classes - Kiel Week - Kiel GER - Day 1, with North Americans in 49er, 49erFX, Laser Standard and Radial Part II of the Kiel Week, mainly dedicated to Olympic Classes, was kicked off yesterday with the first races. However, only the 49er skiffs have really representative fleets. The two 470 events had even to be cancelled. The RS:X windsurfers have not been invited. ----- Philipps/Philipps AUS lead in the 49ers (82 boats from 27 nations) ahead of Warrer/Precht DEN and Rual/Amoros FRA. Harry Melges III/Finn Rowe USA on rank 19 are the best among 4 USA teams. Alexander Heinzemann/Justin Barnes CAN on rank 27 are best of 8 Canadian teams. ----- In the 49ersFX (52 boats, 19 nations), Annemiek Bekkering/Anette Duetz NED and Wilma Bobeck/Malin Tengström SWE share the lead at equal points. Paris Henken/Anna Tobias Tunnicliffe USA are 15th, Georgia and Antonio Lewin-Lafrance CAN 29th. ----- After two Finn (25 boats, 8 nations) races, Ondrej Teply CZE is on first ahead of Max Kohlhoff GER and Jake Lilley AUS.
