SRS, various classes - Bol d'Or du Léman - SN Genève - Victory for Christian Wahl SNG

SRS, various classes - Bol d'Or du Léman - SN Genève - Victory for Christian Wahl SNG A flat Bol d'Or only ended early this morning. Last year's winner Christian Wahl SNG (with Olympic Gold medallist Eilidh McIntyre GBR) managed to win again with his D35-Cat after 17 hrs 4 mins, followed 18 minutes behind by the two M2-Cats of Victor Casas MY and only 30 seconds back Loïck Preitner CNM. Best of the TF35-Cat was the Realteam of Jerome Clerc SNG in 4th place, they had replaced their foils with daggerboards for the light wind race. Best monohull finished was Hungarian Libera Raffica with Zsolt Kiraly HUN in 11th place, their third win in a row. So far only 17 of the 420 teams that started have finished the race, with more than 100 abandoning. The ranking and the report.

SRS, various classes - Bol d'Or du Léman - SN Genève - Tomorrow start at 10am

Tomorrow at 10am the 83rd Bol d'Or will start in Geneva. Over 126 km it goes to the upper end of the lake and back to Geneva. 415 teams are at the start. The wind forecasts predict peaks of up to 7kn, it should be a rather slow race, the various foilers in the fleet will rarely get to fly. Christian Wahl SNG and his prominent Sailing Squad (including Olympic winner Eilidh McIntyre GBR or 420 and 470 world champion Silvia Mas-Depares ESP) should be pleased about this: Last year, Christian Wahl SNG was already able to keep the TF35 at bay with his non-foiling D35 catamaran. Also competing is Thomas Coville FRA with the TF35 cat Ylliam 12 Comptoir Immobilier with Bertrand Demole SNG. All reports.
