Optimist - Opti-Orange - Valencia ESP - Day 2

Circling, inconsistent winds characterized the action in Valencia yesterday, and the fleet, split into 5 groups, was only able to finish one race each to conclude the qualifications. ----- Iason Panagopoulos GRE took the lead with a 2-point advantage over Joan Lleonart ESP, and Maria-Anna Makri GRE in 3rd place is the best girl. Optimist - Palamos Trophy - Palamos ESP - Final results

 Optimist - Palamos Trophy - Palamos ESP - Final results The Palamos Trophy came to an end yesterday with two more final races. The Spanish Optimists dominated the action with a 5-fold victory right to the end. ----- Thanks to two 2nd places, Iker Mugica ESP took a clear win ahead of Joan Domingo ESP and Pepe Garcia ESP. Olga Lubianska UKR was the best girl in 8th place, and Eivinn Löfteröd SUI was the best Swiss in 16th. Tenma Rösti (35th), Lewin Liatard SUI (49th), Edward Hirsch SUI (56th), and Andrea Vitali SUI (63rd) are the next Swiss who sailed the first part of their World Championship qualification in Palamos. ----- The ranking list and the final report.

Optimist - Palamos Trophy - Palamos ESP - Day 3

There were good conditions again yesterday for the first two final races with sunshine, around 12 knots of wind and big waves. Joan Domingo ESP and Iker Mugica ESP, who is one point behind, are in a close duel at the top on today's final day. Eivinn Löfteröd SUI had a bad day yesterday and dropped back to 46th place. The best Swiss is now Tenma Rösti SUI in 33rd place, Andrea Vitali SUI follows in 52nd place. The ranking list and the daily report.

Optimist - Palamos Trophy - Palamos ESP - Day 2

Fresh winds and decent waves prevailed on the second day of the Palamos Trophy, and all 5 groups were able to finish three races each, thus completing the qualifications for the final races of the weekend. ----- Together in the lead are Oriol Costabella ESP and Iker Mugica ESP ahead of - 5 points behind - Joan Domingo ESP in 3rd place. Eivinn Löfteröd SUI (yesterday 1/4/5) in 5th place is the best non-Spaniard. With Tenma Rösti SUI (17th place), Lewin Liatard SUI (32nd place thanks to a race win), Andrea Vitali SUI (70th place), Lena Müller SUI (86th place), Yann Van de Vyver SUI (87th place) and Edward Hirsch SUI (96th place), 6 more Swiss qualified for the Goldfleet (top 107).  Optimist - Palamos Trophy - Palamos ESP - Day 1 In initially fresh winds of around 15 knots, easing to 6-8 knots for the second race, the huge fleet, divided into 5 groups, was able to finish 2 races each yesterday. ----- Oscar Wetter SWE was the only one to win both races in his group, followed one point behind by Juan Lleonart ESP in second place.  Optimist - Palamos Trophy - Palamos ESP - First races today 550 participants from 26 nations are tackling the first race of the Palamos Trophy today. Alongside Spain and France, Switzerland has one of the largest delegations, as the Palamos Trophy is also their first selection regatta for the European and World Championships.
