Moth Amlin Invitational Regatta Hamilton BER Day 3, Anthony Koutoun ISV 9th
The Amlin Invitational Regatta on the Bermudas continued yesterday with two races sailed in a fresh 18 to 26 kn wind and pouring rain. Half of the fleet had to abandon after capsizes and/or equipment damage. English weather .... English domination ... above all by Chris Rashley GBR on his 27th birthday winning both heats and taking the overall lead. Robert Greenalgh GBR ranked 2nd remains on top at equal points with leader. Simon Hiscocks GBR is new on the 3rd place, one point ahead of the tied Chris Draper GBR from 'SoftBank Team Japan' and Paul Goodison GBR from 'Artemis Racing'. The best non-GBR sailor is Kyle Langford AUS from 'Team Oracle' on rank 6. The best continental Europeans are the tied Benoit Marie FRA and Francesco Bruni ITA from 'Artemis Racing' as 12th/13th. Well placed is also the former Finn- and Soling World Champion Philippe Presti FRA from 'Team Oracle' as 19th. Anthony Koutoun ISV is 9th. Chris Rast USA is down on 21st after an equipment failure.
