Olympic Worldcup 2016 - Sail Melbourne - Melbourne AUS - Day 2

After the windy opening day with an up to 30 kn breeze, the Melbourne Worldcup event continued this morning on time and most of the classes completed their program with two heats.
Colin Cheng SIN has taken the lead in the Lasers Standard with the day ranks 1 and 3, and is now 2 points ahead of Thomas Saunders NZL on rank 2. The best European Giovanni Coccoluto ITA is on the 5th place and tied on the ranks 7 and 8 are the best Canadians Lee Parkhill CAN and Robert Davis CAN.
Susannah Pyatt NZL moved up on rank 1 in the Lasers Radial with two race wins, ahead of Ashley Stoddart NZL at equal points. Tatiana Droszdovskaya BLR on 3rd has a 1 point's backlog.
Leaders in the other Olympic classes with very small fleets, are mostly internationally active teams from Australia, dominating the races. To mention among the numerous non-Olympic events the Kiteboarders with Florian Gruber GER as leader winning all 8 runs so far.
