Yesterday, both Maxi-Trimarans crossed the Anti-Meridian - the time barrier - having sailed have of the cricumnavigation. 'IDEC' with Francis Joyon FRA reduced the gap on 'Spindrift' (Yann Guichard FRA) again, and yesterday, the two multihulls sailed at sight. Here the video !
The difficult weather pattern forced both teams to deviate northwards, and the deficit on the record has therefore increased. This morning,'Spindrift' had a backlog of 239 miles, 'IDEC' followed only 20 miles behind.
