Olympic Classes - Copa do Brasil - Rio de Janeiro BRA - Day 1

The Copa do Brasil was kicked-off yesterday on the Olympic Waters of Rio in moderate conditions. Top quality fleets are present, and only a few Olympic Medal candidates are missing.
The 470 women sailed two races and Hannah Mills/Saskia Clark GBR took the interim's lead with the day ranks 1 and 2, ahead of Mrak/Macarol SLO and Lecointre/Defrance FRA. Annie Haeger/Briana Provancha USA are 10th, Sydney Bolger/Carly Shevitz USA 11th. Unfortunately, the result link for the 470 men does not work this morning on the event website. Diego Botin/Iago Marra ESP lead in the 49ers ahead of Outteridge/Jensen AUS and Grael/Borges BRA. Fred Strammer/Mike Kuschner USA are 9th, Brad Funk/Trevor Burd USA 14th.The 49erFX completed only one race with Annemiek Bekkering/Annette Duetz NED as winners in front of Kurtbay/Kanerva FIN and Brewster/Tidey IRL. Erin Rafuse/Danielle Boyd CAN are 4th. Matthew Wearn AUS is clearly on top of the Lasers Standard with the ranks 1 and 2. Tom Burton AUS on 2nd is already 10 points back. Gustavo Lima POR follows on rank 3. 9th and 15th are Charlie Buckingham USA and Eric Bowers USA. In the Lasers Radial, the usual names are already ahead with Evi Van Acker BEL followed by Marit Bouwmeester NED and Anne-Marie Rindom DEN. Paige Railey USA is 5th. First in the Finn rankings is Vasilij Zbogar SLO, with Jonas Hoegh-Christensen DEN and Giles Scott GBR as the first chasers. Caleb Paine USA is 5th. The Nacra 17 have completed three races already, and Gemma Jones/Jason Saunders NZL are first ahead of Zajac/Frank AUT and Voireaux/Audinet FRA on the ranks 2 and 3. Sarah Newberry/Matthew Whitehead USA are 17th. Three heats also for both windsurfer fleets. Dorian Van Rijsselberge NED leads in the RS:X men, Marina Alabau ESP is first in the RS:X women. David Mier y Teran MEX is 27th, Farrah Hall USA 16th.
