Day two of the 2016 Youth World Match Racing Championships saw the winds ease as the first round robin concluded. The home team of Cyril Fortin FRA finished with a perfect nine wins from nine to finish on top going in to the second round robin stage. Following closely in second position, the Australian crew skippered by Harry Price became the first team to beat Fortin and crew as they took an early second round robin scalp. Before the last flight still underway at press date this morning UTC, Will Dargawill AUS and Ryo Takahashi JPN lead with a 7-1 score each. The USA teams are on the rank 6 and 9 for the moment. The second round robin is scheduled to finish today with eight teams to qualify for the quarter finals.
