World Sailing - Sailor of the year 2016 - the nominees

As every year, the Sailors of the Year will be announced at the Annual Meeting of World Sailing, the International Federation of Sailing, in November. This year the nominees come all from Olympic Sailing: Peter Burling/Blair Tuke (NZL), Sime Fantela/Igor Marenic (CRO), Santiago Lange (ARG), Giles Scott (GBR) and Damien Seguin (FRA) in the men and Marit Bouwmeester (NED), Cecilia Carranza Saroli (ARG), Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze (BRA), Hannah Mills/Saskia Clark (GBR) and Charline Picon (FRA) in the women. For the first time, the public can vote over Internet as well with the ballots open during 72 hours from November 4 to 6.
