Around the world record - Maxi-Trimaran 'Sodebo' - Day 44
Tuesday, December 20, 2016
After crossing the Equator, Thomas Coville FRA with his Maxi-Trimaran 'Sodebo' is now sailing in well-established trade winds at good speeds direction finish. 2'500 nm (roughly 4 days) are left, and the chances that the solo round-the-world record will be below 50 days are intact. The record for teams is 45 days and 13 hours. But a last challenge and stress test is ahead of Coville and his multihull: stormy winds exceeding 50 kn in the appoach to the finish line off Ouessant FRA.
